In my opinion Ford's Coyote engine is enjoying the kind of popularity that the small block Chevy engine has had for decades. A great engine is a great engine, regardless of who makes it.

Totally agree. Both are ridiculously fast for the money. They Coyote seems to respond better to boost in my opinion.

I like how you present your take on the matter. I would say that a NA LS trying to make supercharged Coyote numbers would be one high strung motor. What I like about the Coyote is that you can make big numbers and not have to do head work, change cams, pistons, crank, etc like you have to think about earlier in the process with the LS. The LS can make a big number but it gets a little suspect when you reach numbers the Coyote still handles easily (oil pump gear aside). I'm curious what failed on your Mustang motor.

Much respect. NO clue why everyone gets their panties in a wad over which is better, to each his own. I love fast cars period, regardless of Chevy, Ford, Dodge whatever. I prefer American Muscle just due to my age group (mid 40s), but I like and respect anyone who is putting money into their car and making them fast.

I'm still here driving my 2003 Mustang and still beating most everyone that wants a piece of it. Boost is a beautiful thing! I could get a 5.0, but tbh I like the old school muscle car feel that mine still has. I'll drive it until it explodes!

owed both and both are great cars but the Camaro felt cramped and I couldn't see out of it ' the Camaro handled better but after coil overs wheels and tires the mustang was right there. so for me the mustang was the keeper...

I have always loved all makes of cars, I guess because I grew up in the Motor City. I have owned a '69 Roadrunner, '84, '91 (5.7ltr), '96 (6sp) Trans Am's, an '88 Mustang GT (5sp), and just last month picked up a 2016 Mustang GT that had a Lund tune, nGauge tuner, JTL cold air intake and Roush exhaust. I was wanting '17 1LE, bad, but the price was too good to pass up on the S550. I still see a Camaro 1LE in my future, along side my GT. Awesome channel by the way!

Your comparison and preference was legit. I have to agree with everything you said. I grew up a Mustang fan. All of my childhood friends still own Mustangs. I personally still like them. I think Ford is always looking for ways to keep their sales up, whether it be through fresh body designs or more daily driven capabilities. That being said, the streets are flooded with Mustangs. I feel that makes most Mustangs look irrelevant. You would need to do a lot more from the exterior and of course to the engine to make it standout or special from other Mustangs. The Camaro SS 1LE is that sexy af looking and decent performing Beast in my humble opinion. To be honest their harder to find/purchase in comparison to the ZL1 and the regular Camaro SS. Now adding that whipple charger to that rare and badass looking krypton green Camaro SS 1LE is most definitely a unicorn and a must have. Good video. I will go ahead and subscribe to your channel. I'm extremely impressed with your whipple charged 1LE.

Are people still arguing about which car is faster? Cuz let me tell you you can make a camaro 1300hp and if you suck as a driver you won't put out more then 500 anyways. Mustangs are generally easier to drive (not that the word mustanged doesn't mean crashed or anything), with the camaro you'll need a couple upgrades just to get rid of the stock dead spots, I personally feel the need of a side mirror upgrade, it does the job just fine. About the blown engine on the coyote, that's just bad luck, these things can run no problem with that kind of upgrades. For me 5th gen camaro > 5th gen mustang and 6th gen mustang > 6th gen camaro 2019 and 6th = 6th 2018. All I care about at this point is the manual transmission and the looks, you can make anything fly and sound like a jet nowadays ^^

Had a Mustang, thinking about a Camaro now, I'm a big dude so I think the mustang has more room 4 a larger person, just wanted 2 do summin different. I like cars/speed, not really interested in a dodge only because it's like running around everywhere. Most fast dodge drivers/owners are the same as most hayabusa owners, they think it can't be beat & when it is there are excuses. Again it's not about Chevy vs Ford 2 me, its about at this moment i'm thinking about the Camaro. I think all fast cars are hot, I like Corvettes, I like Porsche's & Mclaren's( cant afford them, lol) but I just like fast cars( & bikes). Not about a brand 2 me.

I dont understand this comparison. Two different types of superchargers and doesnt explain his Camaro preference. 1LE would also have to compete directly with a PP2 which wasn't out in 2015. Btw I own a 2021 Camaro 2SS 1LE.

Dig that you're using your experience to compare vs. spec reading. I have always been a Chevy person and never really liked Mustangs. Decided to get a 17 Mustang GT over the Camaro last year though since I wasn't keen on the price difference and styling. Along with what you said, I procharged and did supporting mods for cheaper than a new stock Camaro. Don't regret buying it one bit since it opened my eyes to a different platform.

Good points. I'm local and I've spoken to you a couple times at cars and coffee in Hope Mills. Very insightful, but I have to add that the DOHC 5.0 can rev a good bit higher than the OHV LT1 which might be why some people percieve that a boosted coyote out does a boosted LT1.

I definitely would disagree with this comparison, and it's not because I am a GM guy. The comparison is based off of a roots vs centrifugal supercharger. If you opted for a D1X Procharger for that sixth gen Camaro instead of the Whipple, you wouldn't even of remembered that you had a Mustang. Again, not to say the Mustang is a bad car, it's not, I like them, but a roots blower will not give you the peak numbers the way a centrifugal blower will. And although peak numbers are meaningless in my opinion because average power wins races, everyone bases "peak" numbers on the dyno game.

Having owned Mustangs from the 1965 model and up, I'll stick with Mustangs myself. I have owned some Chevys too, but every one of them failed and left me sitting on the roadside at some point in my ownership of them. I never had any of my Mustangs or other Fords leave me sitting somewhere due to a failure. I'm sure others have experienced the opposite, that's just my experiences with Chevys and why I'm not overly fond of them. Speed and power are actually just money wars and he with the most money will usually win. I like all of the big three's performance vehicles and right now it appears that the Mopars are winning the HP wars. I can't wait to see what Chevy and Ford's responses will be to the Demon.

Both cars have their niche and very good. I personally chose the Mustang, because it really is a better daily driver with very good visibility, and a smoother highway ride.

I'd buy a Mustang BECAUSE they are one of the last naturally aspirated cars (the GT). That's the attraction. For me.

I respect your opinion, and I do appreciate all American Muscle especially Mopar. But I'm happy with my 2013 5.0 Roushcharged + Fbo. The acceleration is mental!you probably should have gone with a whipple instead of the centrifugal. Always been a mustang guy but I love the 2015 and newer Camaros.

Mustang guy here and I agree with you. However, the 2018 mustang and new gen coyote is miles ahead of the current LT platform. Runs 8s on a stock motor. Definitely a good car to consider for the future.

I been on the fence for Procharger P1X or Whipple.. (I have a 16 M6 SS) With the Whipple how is first and second gear? Useless? I feel like if you track it, its a bit of a learning curve for Whipple and with a Centri its possibly a bit easier being that its not instant torque.

If Chevy fixed the visibility issue, I’d probably be driving a Camaro SS, but I have to live with my car and I don’t want to settle or compromise convenience and comfort for a tiny bit more performance stock for stock (15-17 only). I’m boosted now so it don’t matter, I’ll eat them zl1’s and zo6’s.

Fueling isn’t going to make the camaro keep up with the mustang. The coyote engine is an incredibly efficient air pump. A pushrod engine needs can and heads to take advantage of a blower. I’m like you. I really like both of the cars but the mustang doesn’t require replacing any engine parts to make power.

You have to do more upgrades which means more money to get the Camero up to 650whp to 700whp..i spent lots more then you spent 2018, and my 5th gen ss numbers are still under 600whp, but I'll put it against 800whp car in a minute!! My 5th gen is soo fast, haven't been to track wit all upgrades yet, but from launches from stand still or stop light, i know i can get 130-140 mph in the quarter!

What about the 2018 or 19 PP2 I love both cars but I would like to see stock can stock PP2 vs the 1le

It is going to cost me 70k down here in ozz i really want to make right decision and we cant get camaros yet here!! As i said it will only be a cruiser not tracked or quarter miled so not alot of heavy throttle! Do you think it will be a reliable cruiser! Im going roush so i keep warranty!! I'm going to disagree with you, to make stand camaro ss really shine, you would need to dump more money into heads, cam, intake, exhaust, tune, oh I forgot and methanol injection therefore with force induction. Give credit the Camaros will out handle a Mustang due to the weight reduction. But I appreciate that you're a car enthusiast. Back and fourth comparison between the two manufacturer is good. Keep it going.

I've owned both (not supercharged) and the Camaro is just the better car. Its chassis is so good and if you get the 2ss package, the heads-up display is legit. It's louder too and and has variable exhaust flaps to tone it down if need be. All that being said it was at least 5k more than the mustang so that's sort of where that money went. You have to take the base price of the car into consideration. With 45-50k you could do more with the mustang starting from stock as far as power, suspension, wheels/tires etc.

What are you future plans with the 1le?

you really can't compete 4 cams to one you go bigger so can they and really that camaro you drive should be compared to the GT350 with the bigger engine.

For the same cost NO a Camaro can NOT run with a boosted 2018 or 2019 coyote. Show me 1 example of were you can buy a BRAND NEW Boosted 800 HP Camaro that cost $41,000 with a warranty !!!! Show me 1 example of were you can buy a BRAND NEW Boosted 850 HP - 1,100 HP Camaros that cost under $45,000 !!!! These boosted Mustang are running mid 9's on a boosted STOCK motor !!! I don't see any new Camaros doing that !!!

I liked your video. But your right the mustang has a great aftermarket for it. The mustang usually does come with everything when you order it. But also Camaro always one ups the mustang every time lol. New mustang comes out bam new Camaro lol. Be it's a preference. Camaro definitely has the tq factor over mustang though.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you, you confirmed it yourself. When it comes to going fast, mustangs rule that. You're taking a stock car with an unopened motor and boosting it and making big power. Meanwhile you need heads and cam to even get close to replicating the same in Camaro or GM car, it just isn't the same.
