It's amazing how many internet commenters confuse their opinion with actual facts.

Man most people who criticize will never “save” or “restore” any car. End.

As a current owner and hardcore enthusiast of “honest restorations” I get an absolute thrill out of driving and showing my 1925 Star! It’s thrilling to me that I get the privilege driving a car that is almost a century old! With that said though, I absolutely could not keep working on my project without other car enthusiasts tearing theirs apart! I have found all of the spare parts that I’ve ever needed but only because I’ve know people that were hot-ridding their car and I bought the original parts off of them. Also their ingenuity and creativity is what keeps car culture moving forward! I love this build and I love watching all of your videos when they come out.

Why did you say an E-type looks like a tongue. I can never get that out of my head.

I love that after 6 months, no one has disliked this video. Awesome channel and an awesome take on what the car scene should be! I might not love what someone has done, but I appreciate the work they put in to doing it.

The Mk 5 is a type of car that was intended to convey a well heeled owner with no fuss or noise, but also to be able to assert its authority. It was a status symbol. It remains largely what it was with your treatment. It is now as quiet as the designers wished for and it has to power to stomp when it needs to. I really admire this piece of work. and would love to be conveyed in it.

As someone doing a 'factory standard' restoration myself, I thank you for this video. You make some great points. My next project (if I ever finish this one) is going to be much less standard, and I have people like you to thank for the inspiration 😄

"What amount of mod is OK" is just about as much a religious question as "What oil do you use".

Dude, you changed my outlook. I'm a die hard originality advocate (been restoring the 534th Porsche ever built for 16 years now) but I've also secretly looked at EV West's 912, especially when mine breaks down. I appreciate the excellent well made videos and laugh with the clever smartass remarks. Thanks again and greetings from Chile!
