Dr. Carey and his team are amazing. He gave me back my life this past May 2017 and I consider him my hero. If I would become bilateral, I would go through his surgery without hesitation and in a heartbeat.

This information is all super helpful I just hit my one year anniversary from my surgery to repair my SCDS and it’s really relieving to know there’s more people out there who have/had the same condition and what they went thru and how similar it all really is.

Super nervous. Going to get this done soon. I just can't function and I want as much as a normal life as I can get. It's exhausting living like this.

Interesting. Watching this video it seems not everyone is born with this issue? I've had it for 70 years and while I get some fluctuation in symptoms, like Advil making it worse, I've always had a lot of noise in my head. I thought the hole would be something you're born with. Did yours start suddenly?

i got hit on the ear and then a few days later became dizzy. ive been dizzy 24.7 but have NO other symptoms associated with this. could it still be this?

Hello My name is Jessica Dance. I have been suffering with SSCD since my late 20's . I'm 35 now and just had my 2nd child by c-section. All the fluid I retained in my back has made my SSCD feel like a CSF leak. I can't even begin to tell you the pain I feel in my entire body from all the pressure shifts. On top of that I struggle everyday with dementia type memory loss. I wish one of you guys would help me ! I am scared of this surgery but at the same time I'm desperate to pick up my baby . I am so lost I don't even know where to begin.... Pleeeease , please help me ! 🙏

I would call a ENT and talk to the surgery scheduler who can hopefully get you in touch with the biller and ask for a quote.. they should be able to do this .. if not, call the next one... maybe a hospital... be persistent
