Thanks for the kind words! One common correction, I was a writer as well as artist on this, not just co-plotting. Pete and I split the scripts because the book came out twice a month. We plotted together (along with Doug Mahnke in the first arc) but then we also went and wrote our own scripts and dialogue for the issues we split up and the artists (or in my case for most issues that I ended up drawing too). Love that people think so highly of our run, it certainly is a book we’re all super proud of!

Thanks for doing a fantastic run on superman its one of my favourite runs ever on the character. I also really enjoyed your batman and robin run and on amazing Spider-Man( hopefully you get a big event to draw) I am sure Omar would interview you on the channel. He really loves talking comics. I have never felt this way about a Superman run before ever, and it is easily my favorite. I love the work that you do together! Seeing you on Spider-Man now is a dream come true. Now if only Marvel would let you and Pete do a similar book with Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and perhaps their daughter?? I can dream! :)

I love how the front cover and Spine looks similar to theIr Batman and Robin Omnibus. As for new omnibus I personally want a Geoff Johns Superman Omnibus.

Now I’ll need DC to reprint that Batman and Robin omnibus so I can get those matching spines. I however hate when they miss issues like that, would rather issues 1-45 in a row. Despise when they do this

Already ordered and can't wait. Really hoping Action Comics Rebirth by Jurgens gets an omni as well. The spines of those Bats and Supes are cool to compare but the covers of those two omni's are where it's at. Really great parallels. Glad they decided to make them match.

One of my favorite Superman single issues actually occurred during Tom King's Batman run, issue #37. Technically it focuses equally on Batman and Superman but it has so much heart.

Heck yeah! This is the omnibus I've been waiting for for years! I love this run so much. Great vid Omar! I really hope the Lois & Clark, Last days of New52 Superman issues might get a deluxe edition sometime, since Tomasi had a hand in some of those issues, but still, I'll definitely be an immediate buyer of this omni. 😁 (Wondering if it'd be possible to buy the deluxe-editions with the missing issues and add them to the omni through custom binding...) 🤔

Great run and great omnibus!🤗These hardcovers are pretty thick so it will last a long time. Also the paper is glossy and thick,which can be hit or miss,but this one nails it! Wait for a sale because the price for this is ridiculous but worth it!🤗

Haven't read this but really pleased I pre-ordered! For my most wanted Supes omni, it's gotta be a Geoff Johns omnibus: those were where I first read Superman in comics, having only been a fan of the film versions until then.

I love how the cover mimics the Batman and Robin omnibus but instead of the two looking like they want to pour poison into each other's drinks they're smiling on this cover. Genius contrast between the two totally different father son relationships.

At first I was upset it wasn't the cover that was solicited but when you made the comparison to the Batman &Robin Tomasi/Gleason omnibus Omar it grew on me. Just like you Byrne's run is a favorite of mine as well as the first run i picked up back in high school to start reading. Hope the sells of the hardcover convinces DC to release a Byrne Superman omnibus or two one day.

I have all the deluxe Superman and Action Comics books from DC’s Rebirth era and so I’m not going to get this book. I think I actually prefer the deluxe editions to the omnibuses. But there is a configuration where I would have bought a Superman Rebirth omnibus. If they had combined Dan Jurgens Action Comics run with the Tomasi Gleason Superman run, divided it up into 2 volumes released in the proper reading order of the two books combined, than I would have purchased that book. You see, I really love Dan Jurgens’s run, just as much as Tomasi’s run. So to have them joined together would have been prefect, as I struggle as to where to switch back and forth between the deluxe editions when I read Rebirth Superman. That would have been such a sweet book.

I was looking at Pat Gleason’s page and marvel let him draw the new cover for this omni. The cover looks great! Mine is on its way tomorrow! Their run on Batman and Robin is one of my all time favourite Batman titles and I’m looking forward to see what they did with Superman!!

I have the Trades which also collect the other writers stories What's kinda funny is that after I read Tomasi and Gleasons Superman. I started to read Hal and the GLC. And that Superman vs Paralax story is mentioned during an issue so i'm glad I read it like I did For everyone who's getting the omnibus. I hope you enjoy this Superman run because it's Fantastic

I really enjoyed this run and supersons so I might buy this as my first physical copy of it. I’m debating whether to get supersons too but I wonder if there’ll be a second expanded version. Is their Batman and Robin run good too?

Looks really great. Just not sure what to do. Could get the last 2 deluxe editions and complete the run or just get the Omnibus. While I really like this run I'm not sure I like it enough to own it in several different ways. Would look great next to the Batman and Robin Omnibus tho. Decisions decisions

I’ve been waiting for ages to get this, I finally have it. The Morrison new 52 omni, is that the complete new 52 series that runs upto this omni? If not, I need to get those issues, then I can read this in order with super sons after. My most wanted Superman omni is Man of steel by Byrne, I’d love new 52 action comics to go with the Morrison omni. Thanks Omar, great video mate 😊

Morrison's superman omnibus collects his new 52 action comics run. There isn't an omni yet that collects the superman new 52 run.

My first Superman run I started collecting floppies. First four arcs are very strong, although I’m not huge on how Superman Reborn panned out. The Bizarro arc was mostly great (a great examination of the Super family in a lot of ways), but the Bizarrospeak got to be a bit tedious. I would love more post-Crisis Superman omnis. Brave stance, I am aware.

I wished they put the Lois & Clark limited serie in there as it has a really close family vibe too and narates the begining of their life on this earth. It was expressly labeled as a Road to Rebirth title so it should be included in the Rebirth run Omni... I am also a bit puzzled that they went for the Supersons of Tomorrow cross-over instead of the orphan issues, as Supersons has its own Omni already... I liked the Paralax story. I have the run in digital only so I might still get this, will see.

Been lookin' forward to this overview for a while. Ill pass on this omnibus though. The next omnis that i'm waiting for are Captain America Omnibus Vol 3, Amazing Spider-man omnibus by David Michelini and Todd McFarlane and The Amazing Spider-man omnibus vol 5. You'll be happy to know that i managed to get the amazing spider-man omnibus vol 2. I paid double the price (thanks to shipping/customs duties) to have it imported from the US.

I feel like Bendis getting the Superman book was something Dan Didio and the dinosaurs at DC Comics did to restore the old outdated status quo of superheroes not being allowed to be parents. In Dan’s case, it’s a egotistical display of how secretly butthurt he is that Rebirth’s success is due to Geoff Johns and not him.
