Honestly this Batsuit is underrated; with some tweaking to make the ears stand upright, moving the bat symbol up a bit, etc. it's a near-perfect Kane/Finger '40s era design brought to life!

Well, why bother when Superman is obviously not even breaking a sweat. Ironically, today it would be Superman watching Batman drop half a dozen bad guys and only step in if Batman needed help. The way these shows was written back then was so corny! Every fight was the same.

Then the bad guy runs out of bullets and throws the gun, which Superman dodges (because THAT was going to hurt if it hit for some reason?) and then runs forward and punches him.

Meh, I was doing jumps like that when I was 14. Only I was jumping across expanses with 20+ foot drops, no training, no plan, and … no brain. I did miss once. Only thing to break my fall was a huge thorn bush. The sap nearly paralyzed me. Probably lucky the poison didn’t stop my heart. Ah well, kid being a kid. I did worse.

Actually, Superman didn’t fly in the early days of the comics. Early Superman merely jumped long distances and it wasn’t until much later that they retconned him into a flier.

Ya know Superman flying in this video briefly looked really really good haha, better than modern cgi effects. Ill be honest and say I miss having a Superman like this. I think it would be an incredibly awesome project to have a Superman film made with visuals that closely resembled that of the original Superman cartoon. The Superman costume and hair and personality, and he fights against a stereotypical evil mad scientist building a giant laser, but beneath it all is a deep and meaningful story regardless.

There were two of them. One in 1943 and one in 1949. The casting for both Bruce and Dick in the 43 version is better, IMO.

For an early-mid 1950s TV show, the special effects were very good. George Reeves was very athletic for a guy around 40 (in those days, before modern training methods). His take-offs and especially landings look very believable, especially once they git rid of the 'wire take-offs' of the first season.

My kindergarten teacher had a green sedan version of that white Chrysler convertible. When she would start it, the starter sounded like the battery was very low, but it would turn the engine over and eventually start it, causing the fan belt to emit a very loud squealing sound.

The stately mansion that was "Tara" in Gone With The Wind was about a block away from this street. The prison camp of Hogan's Heroes was also within walking distance from this street. All were elaborate set pieces located in a very small area just off a California interstate.
