Күн бұрынRaw video action of Supermodifieds in action at the now defunct El Cajon Speedway near San Diego California. This is time trials and some heat race action captured on camera. Please don't blame me for the shaky camera as this is what I get for hiring a rookie for that angle. :)

There will never be another type of racecar with the same sort of look, presence and sound as that of a super. They are just a different breed of machine.

Davey Hamilton ran the fastest lap ever at Cajon in one of these cars! I was there. 👍

That second car was Jeff Russell. Tragically he was injured in that car and can no longer race

Awesome !!! Remember the night a right rear wheel broke off one of the modifides and took out the flag man. Dadand I standing about15ft away.

Any chance there is a video from 2001? We ran our super with the SRL that year. I'd love to see it again.

Ray, I am not even sure on the date on this one as I unfortunately did not date the tape back in the day. I do have some additional footage from this night which will soon go up and I also have other races involving Supermods at Irwindale and Orange Show Speedway that I will be posting up.

Watched a tire and wheel break off a stock car during a race going about 30mph. Bounced into the bleachers where a spectator deflected it right above his head with his hands. Amazing reflexes. Lots of history with that place
