Agree! Shiba Inus are probably one of the best breeds if lots of time and love is put into it. Kinda like everything in life.

I've had dogs and cats all my life. I've trained poodles, collies, cadoodles, Australian shepherd's and even cats. At this time my husband and I are considering a Shiba Inu for our family and we hope we're equipped to handle it 🥰 Your videos are great and seeing that all the same tips and tricks we've used for our past dogs will work with a Shiba is great news 😊

I must admit having a Shiba Inu is a challenge...but once you get thru puuppyhood an adult Shiba will never leave you wondering what he wants...lol 😆

I had the chance to own an 8 month shiba. He was energetic and a bit wild so i decided against it. I will have the chance to get a 9 week old puppy shiba in a few months from a licensed breeder. I am watching a million videos in preparation but i still have my heart set on being a shiba dad and will work very hard.

Always walk through your front door BEFORE you let your dog through. Your dog will eventually learn to sit and wait at an open door instead of bolting through it whenever they see one. It's not only good for safety, but it's good manners.

if you only put a collar on your dog when you're about to take him for a ride/walk/park, they're gonna start going nuts when they hear it jingle and come running

Hi, I just have a shiba inu puppy 2 weeks ago. he’s now on the 10th week and he started developing biting my pants and get on sofa and bed bite my blanket and pillows. is there anything you suggest me to train to stop this habit?

Another great video Jimmy :). Nice training on not walking in to the garage, Remy only goes through the garage when being carried, and that is his only way out of the house and yard method. Remy was half/half on recall at the dog park. After he turned one he pretends he is not with me, lol. Hope he grows out of that. He will be two this fall. And great tip on the harness. Thanks for the great videos. Keep them up :)

@@jenniferking2243 He has got thumped by Great Danes, Huskies , and Shepards a few times but has shook it off. Mostly because he thinks he is a big dog. Every experience he has had has been great for him. Me, meh, sometimes it can be stressful as he can go from one end of the park to the other in the blink of an eye and I am always trying to find him :)

@@armchairqb2000 Yeah that reminds me of my shiba inu. She always behaves like she's a big dog and very brave. Never afraid of dogs much bigger than she is. Sometimes I think she might get trampled so I get a bit worried lol. But shibas are also very agile, as I am sure you've observed by yours, so usually they are okay and emerge victorious! #doge

Time out with shiba puppy so very important. They can work themselves into a craze if you don't calm them down. Also, make sure your hand does not become a biting toy. Use roped toys they can chase and do tug of war, don't let your hand be a toy. They are a nippy breed. A tennis ball is very useful fetch toy.
