I have had 2 miscarriages, followed by an emergency hysterectomy because an inj8auffered in the military. 16 surgeries later and medications for chronic pain resulted in an apron belly . Recently I tried on every piece of clothing and decluttered what did not work for me. Thank you for this video. I have found good shapewear on Amazon Big Hugs & Blessings

I had three boys and after my last one I haven’t had the motivation to lose weight. I’m in between a 16 and 18. This is the biggest I’ve ever been and I’m trying to be kind to myself. My youngest son is 1 1/2 so I still chasing after him. I appreciate your tips!❤ I found American Eagle curvy jeans have been great for my belly.

Thank yoi for talking about foundation garments. I see so many plus size youtubers that do not talk about this! They are putting on body con clothes and they jiat juggly EVERYWHERE. LISTEN! Tying to find a mid rise/regular pair of paints is like trying to find fairie dust. Ive become sooo fristrated with trying to find pants has been a nightmare.

You are so right about buying multiples! I recently found a perfect button down, long, fit and flare dress from Kohl's and I pretty much bought the same dress in 4 different patterns. Same thing with a short wrap dress from Amazon - which often has the same style in multiple colors. You have some really good insights on the right pants as well, I've seen everyone recommending the higher waist - but it's true there is a sweet spot and going that slight bit over can really highlight exactly what you want to hide.

I made it my business find out the appropriate clothing for me to wear. I wear bell bottom jeans, flowy A-line shirts, and penplum blouses, just to name a few. Yes, what I wear under my clothes is important. I shapewear, tummy control garments

Omg yes about the high waisted Jeans 😮I try so hard to find a mid rise and when I do find the odd one they are so daggy, or a skinny Jean 🙄I hate high waisted and when the assistant try’s to help the first thing she grabs is high waisted and I tell her they don’t do anything but emphasise my stomach and she’ll say but it will suck it in 🤦🏻‍♀️then I’ll try them on to show her.. so yeah so frustrating!! you know exactly what you’re talking about thank you 😊

Thanks Chi Chi. Thanks for the video about this topic. It's absolutely my main problem. You however, look wonderful and I never would have guessed that you have an apron bc your clothes always look nice on you without that tell-tale lower bulge. You even wear shirts TUCKED IN AND STILL LOOK fabulous! So, you obviously know what you're talking about. Therefore, I'm going to take your advice and look for pants that will hopefully fit me well enough so I can wear cute outfits like you do. Thanks again!

Last tip made me cry. I have like a "double" apron belly, the roll of fat is both above and below the belly button and it's difficult to find an outfit that doesn't highlight this perennial muffin top. Yesterday and this morning i was trying on my clothes and i don't feel confident at all. And yes, i have done A TON of negative self talk. I wish i could have more self love and self esteem. 😔

My biggest problem in trying to find clothes, the dreaded apron belly. It stops me in my tracks. I like to find tops that are a bit longer to help cover up. Tucking in??? Not happening.

Back when I was a bit skinnier in the 90s and early 00s and my mom would wear her pants high with untucked shirts i would pull my pants up, stick my stomach out, and pull my shirt down over it to show her how much bigger i looked. And she was super skinny, it was just the way her jeans would have awkward crotches and flies. Me, I got a big pooch now but i will still do the lower down jeans. I cannot wear pants at my belly button. But I will wear bigger shirts. Or i wear bigger pants.

I don't know what size you wear, but I'm a size 24 and I SWEAR BY Eloquii, Macy's and Asos for AH-MAZING dresses!! I work in fashion and am always complimented on how nice I look and dress and a few have pulled me to the side to just straight up ask me where I shop. I also recommend Banana Republic (who has INCREDIBLE styling now- they go up to XXL and drop great pieces regularly that sell out fast so you gotta watch them- I have a few goregeous dresses and coats from them!) And other sites that are meant for "smaller" sizes like Free People that have a naturally oversized fit (I have a lot of stuff from them in size L & XL!).

I’m short waisted and look better is separates, but as I tone everything else (hockey goalie) this belly is the last place to cooperate. Not only do I feel a dress puts a spotlight on it, but when I wear separates, my shirts keep riding up! There has to be a better solution than “shapeless.”

What if you’re long-legged and super high-waisted? Anything below my natural waist feels like it’s cutting my belly in half and really hurts, especially since I’ve had numerous surgeries.
