Oh good. I'm glad you decided to sand the floors. Even if it doesn't come out perfect, it is probably the better choice. Also, CLR for the rust in the yellow sink? Yes, replace that light in the bathroom :D Nice house, I like it.

Thanks for the advice on the rust. I will provide an update on the outcome of the floors. They turned out great!

Getting into the rental business in your retirement is a terrible idea. You don't know what you are doing and will get your wallet smashed. Take it from someone that has been in the business for 30+ years. It takes a long time to learn all the ins and outs and you don't have the time or money to learn them. If nothing else, use a professional, full time management company - not a real estate broker doing it as his side hustle.

I have been managing my own rentals for over 15 years. I think I should know what I am doing by now. This is a rare occurrence. I have done very well overall since I started.

I don’t understand people. I don’t care if you own or rent, how can people live in filth like that. I hope your next renters will love your home as much as you do. This home will be wonderful again, good luck Sir.

Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure why people don’t take care of things. It is very frustrating to me when renters move out after not paying rent for five months and leave it in this condition.

I’ve definitely seen worse. It’s unfortunate that the stove and refrigerator were unusable. It was around $8,000.00 in damages all together.
