I watched this video as abit of final prep for my interview for a Support Worker position within social care. I was particularly nervous as I was going through a career change from retail to social care but this video has helped me calm my nerves abit and gave me food for thought. I have done a lot of interviews but I can tell u I prefer zoom interview than in person interview. All the in person interview I had at the past wasn’t that successful but zoom ones was the best, is always good to arrive 15-30min in person interview that counts as well.

I am hoping to land a Support Worker job and this is a great template for me to follow. Kudos to Mr. Munn for a very detailed yet concise presentation.

I have been offered a job as a mental health support worker, i am so happy! Some of the questions were straight forward, such as what skills do you think you need to work with an individual with MH issues?, what kind of support do you think you can give them?, what would you do if a service user was being aggressive to you?, how will you work in collaboration with other organisations?, how would you cope if the organisation was asking too much of you?, How would you handle a service user saying inappropriate things to you?, And what do you think are the biggest issues someone with MH issues face? This video really calmed my nerves as someone entering into another profession. As a new person without experience, what's my chances of getting a job in disability? Although I have enrolled in some courses online with certificates issued, I'm still watching videos about disability which I'm enjoying and believe I can do the job well because I like caring for people talk more of disabled ones

I know video is a few years old but currently im in my mid 40s. I havnt had an interview in years. Its mainly been hire on the spot or people ive known through other jobs. I am on the verge of either getting laid off or being forced to quit my job and ive discovered dsp jobs from a former coworker.
