A lot of my support came from my dentist… she was amazing in supporting my emotions thru the process .. my friends too but none of them have dentures . I work with seniors and knew several people who had gone through it as well . Their courage and honesty was so helpful and finding you tube .. tips on. How to eat , speak and what to expect. I couldn’t afford implants I had to take this road . I’m 90 days in . Luckily they fit very well so no pain so far which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you for all you do and Best to everyone going through this transition .

First and foremost, I truly can not express my level of gratitude for the content you post - the advice, insight, and truly the incredible amount of information you provide. I'm sure you get this all the time, however, I wholeheartedly believe this video was nearly made "for me" - I understand this sounds strange, and I am not certain how to put this into "words." Roughly 4 months ago, I finally scheduled an appointment with my general dentist after 2 years working as a first responder throughout the pandemic. I knew my teeth were and are not in the best of shape, and they had not been for quite some time. I knew there were issues that needed addressed, and not to make excuses, by the time I was finally able to take a little time off of work as a result of the same excruciating pain I am feeling even right now, I was unable to be seen because nearly every dental practice within a 100 mile radius was either closed, not accepting new patients, or had a waiting list longer than I knew I could tolerate. Finally, after years of this pain, knowing I still had months to wait on a waiting list once businesses began to re-open was incredibly exhausting both physically and emotionally. Truthfully, I have both felt and "hid my smile" in identically the way you portray your own experiences for years now, and it is exponentially tolling to say the least! I am incredibly embarrassed to the point I did not even want to show my dentist the condition of my teeth. Sitting in the exam chair, I honestly was under the assumption my teeth could be repaired with several fillings or truly anything non-extensive. Unfortunately, and dramatically shocking enough, I was advised at the age of 30, my teeth were and are beyond repair, and my only option was to have each of them extracted and forgo dentures; otherwise it would be inevitable my teeth would rapidly begin to worsen, and they would all end up breaking or falling out. In this moment, I felt, and truly right now just feel so "disgusting" - not to mention just so much disbelief for what I had just heard that I did not accept the prognosis. Since then, I immediately received 4 separate opinions from another general dentistry office, and 3 specialists combined with surgeons and a specialists for which I was referred.... All of which provided the same recommendation. I have spent the last several months, which feels like an eternity, spending countless hours and sleepless nights scouring the internet to learn everything I possibly could, and honestly just trying to find anything that someone "ANYONE" else my age had experienced or is currently experiencing with zero success until just this morning discovering yours at 2:30AM. I've spent this entire day, and have now watched at least 40 different videos of yours, and I am shocked but somewhat relieved to actually feel for the first time that I'm not "alone" even though I still feel alone. I'm generally not one to openly discuss or convey the things I'm typing right now, but you are undoubtedly the reason I have gained the sense of mediocre confidence enough to desperately let it all out, and completely let it all out vs. just the parts I've allowed myself to actually explain to my parents and my partner. I've already written a novel and I apologize, but, fast-forwarding to today: I am also having the "All-On-4" hybrid implant system performed, and my pre-op appointment and surgery are scheduled for this month (July 14th & 26th, 2022). I am absolutely terrified for so many reasons, all of which I am certain you can predict, I can't even tell you how many times I've literally just cried myself silently to sleep. It's not that I don't have a good support group, it's the fact I also am not made of money - I am a 30 year old male who feels like his life has just been turned upside down, and I am truly worried how I will ever be able to afford this $70,000.00 endeavor; all I can think about is "I'm literally about to shove a Cadillac in my mouth unexpectedly." I am terrified the teeth will not look real, and I am scared I will have a difficult time adjusting. Further, I hope you or someone can help with this part in some way to aid in my "sanity" - I am incredibly independent, I do not ever ask for help, but I feel so "guilty" that anyone has to actually take the time out of their life to help me post-surgery for something that is not even their fault or problem to begin with, and it seriously is making me feel so much worse about myself. I appreciate the time anyone is willing to take for just reading this, but, I am near desperate for a solution or solutions for not only the financial aspect, but most importantly just some kind of mental tool to ease my thought process. Each day that approaches closer to the procedure date, I can feel my anxiety worsen, and I already have a clinical diagnosis of PTSD I've dealt with since my adolescent years... which, obviously isn't working positively in my favor at the moment either for various reasons... ha ha. Again, and if there is no response to this comment that's fine - I truly only meant to post a short paragraph expressing my upmost, sincere appreciation for the videos you have posted and continue posting each week. I could never begin to describe how much hearing about your experience has provided a level of comfort I never thought possible, but I just have not been able to stop typing.. it's the strangest thing to try and explain. Thank you so much once again!!

I completely empathize with you. It’s a shock to anyone to learn that all of their teeth have to be removed but then realize how much it would cost for implants. I understand. If you’re able to do it, financially, go for it. There are less expensive alternatives to the all on 4. Like snap in dentures are a fraction of the cost. Pros and cons to each route. Snap-ins are cheaper, still provide stability, easier to clean, and can be just as aesthetic. All-on-4 provides maximum stability and eliminates the hassle of taking them out and putting them back in. But way more expensive and more challenging to keep clean and maintain. But as far as the appearance, a removable set of dentures can be just as attractive as something affixed to implants. If you have support, don’t feel guilty for utilizing it. The day will come when you’ll offer the same. I hope everything goes well at your appointment!

Don't fucking do it. it's terrible. I would rather have ugly teeth full of fillings. she has to be getting money and sponsors talking about this. she has all on 4s for 60 k that she won in a contest. she needs to quit fucking talking. All I'm saying is if you can fix them do it. there's options outside the border, you could have front teeth removed and do a 3 on 6 and keep all the molars.... I have nothing now and my teeth were not that bad but listened to twack "dentists" oral surgeon because I was recommended to get dentures. ....it was all a fucking lie and they made a bonus off me including the manager that played me. you take your teeth out it quits sending calcium.. basically your bone starts dying.....face will sink in at one point

I have found your channel recently and have subscribed after dipping in and randomly watching 10 years of interesting well made videos about your journey. It’s a blessing as I’m considering all on four. HOWEVER there is two things that confuses me. Firstly it’s sometimes difficult work out the timeline of your videos. You see to flip back to older ones in newer videos. The other thing I don’t seem to have got my head around is this. Do you call ‘all on four’ dentures? Or are dentures not fixed in? Love your videos they’re a great research for those on the journey. It seems you started with normal dentures 10 yrs ago and have gradually progressed over time to what eventually you were happy with. The all on four implants?

Thanks for your videos, I was an abused child and I remember the day that my (10 year older than me) "brother " gave me a knuckle sandwich, took out 2thirds of a front adult tooth, the pain is still seared in the middle of my head. I spent thousands on therapy/dentists. Gave up on being a slave to all that. Now I am free of that pain.... How do I find a denture DR that can set me up with a good set of choppers that look like yours ? I am on limited budget Bay area CA

Hi, I have to do something for my teeth but I’m not brave enough to make it. I lost 4 tooth on up, and other teeth aren’t good at all, but my spouse say only stupid people getting dentures when they have tooth and don’t know for how long they stay! But I can’t speak, laugh! That’s enough reason to get dentures! But I’m afraid if I regret

The thing you’ll regret, is NOT getting dentures! Especially now and not wait any longer. The longer you go without doing it, the more money you’ll throw out the window to try and fix/save teeth that’ll eventually get pulled in the end! Trust me, I can’t believe how much money I wasted on root canals and crowns that didn’t even last long. I could’ve put that money into a beautiful set of dentures ALONG time ago! Thankfully I went through with it, and I’m so much happier with a smile I never had before 😃

Got my immediate dentures 3 weeks ago. It's been one problem after another. I've had 2 adjustments, and I still cannot wear or even eat with my dentures. They stick out too far, so my lips stick out alot. the teeth themselves are really short and I haven't gotten a soft reline yet. Over all they are horrible. I always have to wait 2 to 2 1/2 weeks on average just to get in for anything to get done. This is the worst experience of my life. The dentist office is not empathetic at all. Do you have any suggestions on how to get my dentures to help fit a bit better until I get in, next appointment is the beginning of Sept.

Thank you for explaining this. I just had ALL of my teeth extracted & at this point all I want to do is just wanting to move forward & get my dentures now. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of support through this. My husband is NOT supportive at all but I don’t care anymore. I’m almost 4 weeks out from getting my ALL of my top teeth extracted & 2 weeks out from getting ALL of my bottom teeth extracted & the pain I had with my teeth BEFORE the extractions was WAY worse than it is right now. I know I did the right thing not only for me but also for my health & that’s all that matters to me.

I wonder if you can get insurance for if implants don't work. I mean say you get implants and they don't work for whatever reason, that's a very expensive mistake. Or is it just "oh well, you're out of $50K"?.

Other real People whose teeth have been horrible that live in confidence. My lady friend after many years of having a lopsided set of teeth to chew with just got fitted for partials while I may be on My way to losing My 3rd tooth this month because the crown is wiggling & that means the root is rotted. The point of My dentist doing that is to prevent bone loss which I've had a little bit starting already. I know I will be getting partials for My chewers in the next 5 years. Bad Teeth are more traumatizing then People care to admit and it's not always the fault of the individual.

@firefighterb_0913
@firefighterb_0913 2 жыл бұрын
Laura, I do not ever intend to discredit any company because every case and person is different, just as the professionals in each location have their own unique methods, as I’ve clearly just discovered myself. However, my personal experience with Aspen was great at first. Roughly 8 years ago I went in to have them adjust my bite, and also apply and correct nearly $8,000.00 worth of work. Unfortunately in my personal situation, my fillings fell out within the first 14 months, and the teeth they corrected to make everything symmetrical ended up chipping. On a positive note though, the staff were all incredibly professional and did not make me feel judged or “bad about myself” and condition. Unfortunately, they were not willing to correct the issues where I went afterwards.

@@mikevuk8973 .... Roughly how much did you pay exactly for your Turkish implants, if you don't mind me asking? Was it for a whole set?? Tops and bottoms both OR just one upper/or lower set only, ect? I REALLY need/want implants rather than these cheap ass bulky dentures, BUT I'd have to pay ATLEAST $40-100k in cash just for them to do it in the USA, not to mention the multiple visits, co pays, fittings, alignments, implants, numbing, surgery, and aftercare, ect, which is just absolutely ridiculous to afford unless you're stupid rich! I COULD buy a new house for my whole family to enjoy while remaining sad and toothless...OR I COULD selfishly buy a new set of teeth that ONLY I get to use and actually be able to enjoy food again.. BUT that'd last me for what, MAYBE 10 yrs at most, if I play my cards right, then I'd still have to buy them/replace them again..Smh.. I HATE the current dental industry here in the US. They consider so much of it to be "cosmetic" rather than necessary. Last time I checked, being able to eat food was "necessary" and not a mere "luxury" or just to "look pretty" when you smile... ffs....But hey, what do I know, right? I'm just a poor, stupid ass American with hardly any teeth left. Smh..... (Sorry for ranting, I'm just mad. Excuse all the salty undertones. I'm just so fed up with the "system" here. Sigh* My apologies.. Losing most of your teeth before you're even 30, despite taking immaculate care of them my whole life, just leaves one feeling absolutely salty and bereft of options.... Again, I'm sorry, I'll stop whining now. No one really cares anyway.....) sigh*
