Suppressor Flash Test (Mini, Rc2, Rc3, Polo k, Rotex X)

a quick video comparing flash on various hosts of the SureFire Mini, Rc2, Rc3, Otter Creek Polonium K, and Rotex X SF.
all suppressors were tested on the same rifles, each suppressor utilized a SureFire style mount.
overall performance review from VBD:
Surefire Mini: Loud, Flashy, worst candidate
Otter Creek Polonium K: sound on Par with Rc2, brighter First round pop, occasionally would eliminate flash completely.
Rc2: used as the Baseline. sound was good, flash was low but Consitent (frp was a little more, following shots kept some sort of flash but at low level)
Rc3: DIDNT SHOOT FIREBALLS. A bit louder than the Rc2, not enough to notice unless putting them side by side. wider and deeper red color of a flash pattern. a little heavy on flash. very pleasant to shoot.
Rotex X 556 Sf: Quietest of the bunch. a little more flash than rc2 on first round. following shots had little to no flash at all.

We will know if they EVER SHIP THEM OUUUUUT! But we do have one set aside from our order to absolutely abuse and compare to others.

What mount are you running to get the polo k on the sf 3 prong? I’m trying to decide between an RC2 and the polo K and cant make up my mind, what’s your thoughts on both? It’s going on a 13.9 for context

Polo k 100%. We have a shorefyer mount which idk if they'll be made again. Or take a warden and send it to Ecco machine to convert to a hub mount (used in this video). The SF k is loud, flashy, and costs 2x as much. Those who love their SF k also invested a lot of time and money into the suppressor. So they'll say whatever they can to convince themselves they like it. But the performance of the SF k is extremely underwhelming compared to the Polo k.

@andy3157 we've had Rc2's, my co owner has ran SF for years. Since we got the Rotex X 556 SF, the Surefires have all left and aren't coming back unless a special order. Their price is inflated out the ass, the mount sticks unlike the rotex (so far, we are about 5k rounds in on one, 2k on another). Sound and flash suppression was less on the Rotex as well (first round flash was a hair bigger following shots had no flash. Where the Rc2 maintained flash every round.) The Rc2 isn't a bad suppressor. But it was released in 2015 and still priced like its about to drop for the first time next week. We can get whatever folks want. And help them out. But getting behind these, the Rc2 is fading into the past.

@andy3157 polo k, Rotex x sf, or if you can ditch that whole concept and want ultimate sound suppression, an OCM5 is by far the quietest 556 suppressor I've handled. Granted, it can be gassy. Now that can be mitigated by proper tuning (buffer weight, enhanced bcg with modified cam path to delay unlocking, charging handle? *50/50 on reviews with that. I think they do SOMETHING, But slapping one in by itself won't magically fix gas to the face.)
