I cured my suppressor with SLIP 2000 prior to even putting rounds through it. It gave me a level of protection and made the can MUCH easier to clean. I heated everything in the oven up to 300 then I poured the SLIP 2000 over the components fully submerging them in a aluminum tray. I waited until they were room temperature and then removed them, placing them in my sonic cleaner. Function is perfect and very easy to clean.. it takes the porosity out of the metal where all the carbon hides

at 11:43 he said petroleum jelly is water based, he must have been thinking of KY jelly.

Kentucky jelly. .

Why is it called KY jelly? Shouldn't it be KYJam? That seems to be more about what it's for. Lol

LMAO he makes it look so easy. I have a gm-22 and gm-45 its not that easy. G-core is super hard to clean. Scrub till that plastic brush is worn down and you would have removed a small amount of carbon. If i had to do it all over again I would have bought a silencerco sparrow . Stainless steel throw it in the ultrasonic and done.

Sparrow is also tough to clean, get a Dead Air Mask HD it is the best rimfire suppressor to date.

Now do the same for integrated suppressors.

I still cant get my suppressor apart even after using a drive. I'm scared to use anything more than hand strength. Should I just go to ultrasonic cleaner?
@doejohn86743 жыл бұрын
As far as I understand, you don't want to put aluminum parts into an ultrasonic bath, if it's stainless steel it should be ok.

Use suppressor for 1000 -2000 rounds and then put it in a sealed bag and take it to a hazardous waste company and pay for proper disposal. But, hey! I paid $600 for my suppressor! I can’t dispose of it properly and buy a new $600 suppressor!! Yeh, well, they should cost $50 + $40 disposal fee.
