A lot of things I love about supreme, but having the V hull on a surf boat is maybe the biggest factor for me. If i go dedicated wake boat, it will likely be supreme for the deadrise and fuel economy. But I may end up with a forward drive surf boat. Table Rock gets rough on busy weekends and we do a lot of cruising as well.

Great video! I’m probably upgrading my boat next year. I’m stuck between MB, Moomba and Supreme. This video had great info.

You should do one on best older boats for surfing (1999-2009)

I have a 2018 Moomba MAX with Wakemakers ballast bag upgrade & Raptor 400 motor. I also have 600 to 1,000 pounds of lead distributed throughout the boat depending on my crew count. I would put my wave up against any boat costing 2-3 times as much & I paid less than $80,000 for mine with 100 hours on it. The cost is something he is unwilling to talk about. There are great boats out there for less than 100 grand, go find them!

Pretty fair assessment Mitch. I have a 21 Mojo with upgraded wakemakers bags that puts me just under 5000lbs of ballast. I also safely run a little lead to help dial in the wave(800 lbs). I do like how out of the box the Supreme 232 is heavy and ready to surf with a monster wave. What made the decision for us had zero to do with the wave, even though that was the reason we were buying in the first place. First was the storage and occupancy. There was no comparison. The Supreme uses a lot of the storage for ballast. Even after the wakemakers bags the Mojo has a ton of storage as well as a 17 person capacity. Second is we go to really big lakes. You might say, then you want the better ride. We did, but cruising speed had to win out on this one. We might cruise 30 miles and want to be able to cruise 27-30mph. The battery switch!!! Holy smokes this is a true GameChanger. You wouldn’t think so, but really is great. What it boiled down to in the end was that we want to make a monster wave, but still want to have a big crew with big storage while driving long distances. Side note, auto wake is great for replicating the wave…but you need way more than stock ballast to make it work right. As far as the tabs, the work very similar to centurion/supreme. I truly believe if you surf and want an awesome wave, Centurion and Supra are the only boats to look at…unless you’re on a budget, then it’s Supreme and Moomba. These two manufacturers make the best surf waves.

I have a 2021 Moomba Mojo and love it! But I would say this is a pretty fair assessment of the Moomba with its pros and cons. We have the 450 engine and though powerful it does have a “whine” when being pushed that makes it loud. It is a rougher riding boat in chop at 20+ mph. The cooler tech vinyl is a definite win for the Moomba as the vinyl gets quite hot in the Supreme. I know this from experience even though it wasn’t available when I bought my boat. Both great boats! Depends on which features you value most. I think the Moombas look a little better. But I love the Supreme’s surf wave.

I love the information here but I really wish you had some pictures at minimum to show the difference between them.
