In my experience a 10" speaker gives a nice 'tight' sound spectrum as long as you don't overload it with too much power - you can't expect studio-loud SPL from a single one which is why amps like the Fender Bassman of the same era had four of them! If you're looking at this 1600 for high-volume work - even club gigging - consider a multi-driver extension cab - unless you want a sound like Dave Davies of the Kinks who shredded his speaker cones with razor blades!

Two Supro 1600s or one Orange Rocker 32 - a stereo amp unlike the mono Supro 1650rt Royal Reverb with twin-10s?

I agree about the 10’s. Through my teens and early 20’s I played through a 67 Bassman head with 2x10 cab which my father had bought new. I really liked the sound of the 10’s. Tight.
