Ahoy Legends! In this week's episode I go surf casting on Fraser Island. We battle large swells and wild weather but get rewarded with some insane fishing from the beach. The target species are large tailor (bluefish) and Mulloway (jewfish). We don't manage to find large quantities but the ones we do find are great size! I hope you enjoy this episode filmed on one of Australia's most iconic beaches!!

As a North Pacific fisherman....LOVE to see someone actually fishing in surf! So used to Atlantic and Gulf fisherman casting to a lake! LOL Little strange to watch the sunrise, too used to sunset and Pinkfin/ Red Tail Surf Perch....occasional flounder or Coho salmon. Or Dungeness crab. They take a bait as readily as any fish. Edit: Your daughter is adorable. Son just made me a grandfather, haven't met my granddaughter yet....she's in Korea, I'm in Oregon.

Mum and Dads favorite fishing spot. Tailor was on in Winter however, for our family tailor is out least favorite eating fish. Pippies a plenty and targeting whiting and flathead would bring in dinner.

Is there anyone in Oz who fishes as much and as hard as Samuel here? I don't know of anyone else who fishes and uploads as much as Sammy does and who fishes in a variety of different ways, from boats to land based, beach, river (throwing nets for prawns) also mud crabbing, then going out for the big pelagics/sport fish on over nighters . Onya champ you're an inspiration

Love your vids. Recovering from a back surgery just itching to go fishing. Where I'm at east coast of USA we are getting into the big schools of blue fish( taylors) off the beach as big as 10 kilos.

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video 👍 For bleeding, where I cut behind the gills contains the arteries that feed blood to the gills. So essentially has the same effect without the extra work 👌👌

Just went out reef fishing in Diego Garcia. The fishing here is absolutely amazing caught some good snapper and a couple grouper for fish tacos

I was just up at bribie for the weekend fishing and the old ugari shuffle definitely came into play bucket loads of really really small ones but a few really nice specimens came up. Unfortunately it was quite dead on the biting side of it though, all the fish were hiding

nice to c the family maby catch some beach worms and chase Whiting try orchard beach start of rocks. we tried middle rocks when wasnt a green zone worms dont fit on hook takes 2 people to catch and they bite have fun lucky bugger
