How to install the OS System on a Ms Surface 3.
If your windows DVD or USB don't function.
This is the solution to get your OS up & Running.
RECOVERY IMAGE DOWNLOAD: www.microsoft.com/surface/en-...
Step one: Change the BIOS Settings. This a link with more information. www.microsoft.com/surface/en-...

Step 2: Connect your USB and don't press nothing it will boot by it's self.
Step 3: Choose the Language & just click next.
Your all done, Enjoy :)

Format USB drive as Fat32 and extract all the Recovery Image files to the USB drive. Plug in and......... Boom ! Thanks a lot !

My USB doesn't have the option for FAT32 but does have exFAT, which is superior. However, when I insert the USB (file is unzipped into USB correctly), it goes back to the UEFI settings instead of the blue recovery screen. Is this because it's exFAT or am I doing something else wrong? You'd think exFAT would work as well..

Thanks for this video, it is really helpful, I just have one question for you. You said you got a zip file and just transfered the files to the fat32 formated usb stick, does that means that you extracted the files from the zip to the usb stick? Thanks again!

Question. Is this just an os recovery image or did it reset the firmware? I’m having an issue after a failed install of linux on pro 3, and it won’t boot from usb so I could fix it.

Just go to the link in the description, and download the USB recovery and follow the steps on that page. I just saved you 19 annoying minutes. But seriously, thank you for the video.

my device in bit locked and I do not know its password and I have also forgotten my Microsoft ID and password. and when i try to factory reset it its shows cant be reset because drive is bit locked. so please provide me the solution as soon as possible.

Mine has an admin password in the bios now i can't access it. Help?? I got the proper usb for surface 3 but it is not reading it. Crazy......I was just going to say it wasn't working, cause I already booted up and got to bios screen again, but then suddenly it loaded from the USB. Unbeleivable and ironic. The funny thing is I was really confused because a previously usb surface 3 installation stick wasn't working. Turns out it was corrupted!!

Hey, my surface 3 about 6 months from i got it i turned it on and the screen went red and only said surface. From then it's just stuck there and i cant get past it. I can get into the bios menu i tried using the usb recovery but it's just stuck in the red screen

Secure boot has been disabled. Try disabling it if you're able to get into the uefi

Check if secure boot in the uefi is disabled. If it is, enable it

+anar agayev I highly recommend to get a 16gb to make sure but you could try a 8GB USB.

Try to boot from the USB if that doesn't work, You will have to follow other steps then you could follow up with this this video.. I haven't made the video but i will send you a link how to do it. I had the same issue on this surface.
