Got to thinking after seeing him at 0:15 about how equipment has changed over time. I was a fairly decent surfer back in the late 70s to early 80s and wonder how much better I could have been had I had today's boards. Not only me but surfers like MR, Rabbit, G.Lopez, S.Tomson and T.Carroll to name a few, this goes for other sports too, can you imagine what Jack Nicholas and Arnie could have done had they had today's golf clubs and balls. You never would have heard of Rory Mcilroy, DJ, Koepka or Tiger... Tiger Who?

whats the difference between 2 fins, 3 fins and 4 fins. do more fins = more control?

Not A Uav it depends on the board but generally tri fins are a bit looser than quads. The quad used as a twin fin by Kalani was a bad idea. Haha

Size and placement matter as much as quantity. Think of each fin that's in the water at any given time as a point around which the board can rotate. The center fin on a thruster, and to a lesser extent the rearmost fins on a quad, help hold a line. The others are more for turning. So yeah, just mounting two forward on a quad is good for goofing around and playing it loose, not so much technical stuff.

Kitty Smalls haha. The footy is from before he chopped the mop but just finished edit and thought is was classic. His hair grows fast though. Pretty sure he’s reverse aging...
