Are entrenching tools useful? I think so. You can use it for digging trenches around a tent, shelter half, etc. Helps you dig for any bathroom stops. Ig you have questions, ask and I will answer as soon as possible.

Did you come back from the pub to do this
@eskimomarine22524 жыл бұрын
I did have a couple of beers, but I also still have speech problems which manifest if I haven't slept enough and the beer doesn't help.

I love entrenching tools. I have two original Ames trifolds, an American made Gerber, the little Sog, a dollar store version of the Sog (which is identical quality) and the Cold Steel version of the Russian one. I also have the snow attachment for the Swedish shovel but do not own that one yet.

Nice collection! It is difficult to find an issued Swedish entrenching tool, although Sharky Fourbees says that the clones are close to the same.

@@eskimomarine2252 thats good to know, it is hit and miss with Mil-tec stuff. I have some of their packs and love them bit tried the version of the American bivy that they make and it was a horrible failure that I couldnt get rid of fast enough.

It has the m1910 clip. I bought it on eBay for $10.

The extra strap on the swiss cover is probably for the bayonet.
@eskimomarine22523 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I guess that it would strap onto the frog for the bayonet.
@thomaskoeppel19953 жыл бұрын
@@eskimomarine2252 I think the strap would hold the bayonet next to the shovel cover. The bayonet frog probably attaches to the belt or maybe the extra button on the shovel cover.
