Alex my husband of almost 27 years and together for almost 33 years proposed to me while I was laying in my bed with the stomach flu, so when you think you failed always remember there have been way worse proposals. I think it was absolutely amazing!

Hannah and Alex basically grew up together so when she started crying i was so happy because her brother and who she loved the most was getting married. I don’t know how to word it but like they grew up together for the longest and so it was probably the most emotional for her 🥲. Congrats Alex and Savannah!

Definitely a beautiful proposal, BUT it would’ve been way better if Crystal let Alex propose how he wanted to without interjection. I assume he would’ve finished and then gotten down on one knee and had her open her eyes at the same time. So it’s really disappointing that it wasn’t able to happen like that because Crystal intervened. I want to start by saying what am amazing mom I think Crystal is, because she really does wonderful at helping each child to feel valued and to be the best version of themself that they can be. This is the one time that I feel like she overstepped. This is Alex's proposal. Now he may very well have asked his mom to help him plan and execute the proposal and it is possible that Crystal just got caught up in the excitement of the moment, but when Crystal is directing them throughout the proposal, and even goes so far as to interrupt Alex DURING the proposal, to contradict what Alex has asked Savannah to do (keep her eyes closed) and Crystal says, "You can open your eyes, let her open her eyes." Which she does and sees the sign before Alex even has a chance to get the words of proposal out. Crystal was right there in the middle of the proposal! If Alex wanted the family to watch, they should have stayed and filmed at a distance, and definitely not said a word!
