This is why KZfaq should allow David to use any song that he want. His taste in music is awesome plus all the songs will get major traffic . Chad his song is one of my favorite songs thanks to David

youtube does allow it, the major labels are the ones copyright striking. hence they don't want their artists music used. if they cleared the copyright, youtube wouldn't mind since they don't hold any rights to those.

@@ItsMadRiv well mostly they do cut deals. Labels just copyright the music, get the ad revenue and the video doesn’t get taken down. Assuming that you as a creator have the right to use this stuff and it’s KZfaqs job to buy you these rights is not how the world works. Should labels cut deals with big shots like David? Yes, absolutely. Should they allow all 1k sub mini channels to use the music? No, absolutely not.

Sorry don’t mind me I’m just crying that this amazing man with such amazing skills and talent was homeless. And WE AS A COMMUNITY lifted him up and brought his music back to life. Devastating that it going so bad for him, but a true life lesson of “never give up”. Thank you Todd and Brett for bringing him and sharing a small part of his story.

i remember listening to carolina liar so much around 2008 i didn't know any of the band members' names, this man Chad has been through his own hell and back and still so much humility to him to what can be sometimes a cruel world. Carolina Liar's album is called coming to terms if you want to check it out

oh my god.....The minute david took off the blindfold and he started to sing I fully started crying, I cant belive his storry; about nearly being homeless before you put his music in the vlogs, I'm sharing this with all my friends. I posses so much love and thankfullness for this podcast touching my soul deeply. David, I truly mean this; you took me out of so many depressional moments in my teens to 20's, please never stop creating, You're the reason why I havent given up... and why I continue to create too.

My favorite creators make vastly different content, but the one thing the all have in common is their ability to find the perfect music for every moment. David you do have a gift and that’s what keeps us all coming back! U may not be perfect but ur drive and the people u brought with u along on this journey of urs has created a group of individuals that just about everyone can see themselves in.
