On Episode 352 of Spittin’ Chiclets, the guys are joined by Scott Gomez. Gomer joined the show (01:27:20) for round 2 to talk about his time in New York and Montreal, some more Lou stories, what he’s up to now and tons more. The guys open the show with an update on everything they have been up to for the past 6 weeks. Biz also addresses the massive TNT news that was announced last week. The guys also get into all the NHL news missed over the past few weeks, including the big Montreal-Carolina offer sheet. The boys wrap up talking a little pop culture with Rear Admiral giving Biz a few more TV show recommendations.

1:38:56 as a devils fans this is how I felt for a decade plus about Colorado. It wasn’t that I hated them it was just that I hated that the devils lost to them when as Gomer explained they had that rare opportunity to go back to back. That team is still legendary! Then winning in 03 vs the ducks definitely helped with those bad memories from a couple years earlier.

Remember Gomez in the 1999 WHL Allstar game, Lethbridge AB. Still have the newspaper photos. I think he won fastest skater in skills competition and went for a ride over the Mic cord? Amazing show.

Much respect for guys like him that do multiple stints in the minors after having electric careers. They just either love the game, can't get away from it, love the time w/ the boys, who knows... but they're riding buses and shit late in their careers. I forget what legend did it.... someone can prolly help me. I'm thinking Blue Jackets/Red Wings connection.... had a hall of fame career and ended it in the minors. I'm drawing a blank

I'd love to see the NHL change the salary structure to every player receiving an equal base salary for all players, with productivity being rewarded with bonuses. I think this structure would light alot of fires under players asses and make it a much more competitive league

I’m a Flyers fan and at that time in the league that was a legal hit. Eric always skated around with his head down. Also, all the players on that team have gone on the record as saying they didn’t want him back. They would have won that series if he stayed away.
