I've been riding since 1982. The first week I wished my helmet would open up a just a slit to get air in for defrosting or to cool off. After 42 years of wearing Shoei on the street and various dirt helmets, I'm still wishing. Thank you for mentioning this small but HUGE ability Swankster!! I find the trick to hearing COMS properly in a helmet is to wear those little rubber ear plugs that have the filters in them - that way the wind noise is reduced and the filter allows voice audio through. That setup has been working great with my Sena.

Yeah, I'm interested to see what they think afterwhile too! My dad wore his when we rode some single track and said he was surprised that it didn't feel as sweaty as his old one did after riding hard haha.

Well you did the hard work for me finding a helmet almost as cool looking as the 950. My only complaint is you guys didn't put them on!

It's definitely worth considering! My dad tested his out on a single track ride this week and he said he really liked it!

I am pretty sure the AX-9 from AGV also has a first "crack" on the visor as well. That's the only one I know of because I own that one. It does NOT have the MIPS though.

Is the fit round oval, intermediate oval, or long oval?

Good question! I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess intermediate oval or round oval. Fits my big head really well! Haha.

Honestly, I think if I had to buy another com, it would be the cheapest FodSports BT-S2 communicator that I started out with years ago. All these unwritten rules of replacing a helmet are coming from the people that are selling helmets. Yes, an old beat up helmet should be replaced but you can't tell me that my 5 year old $700 Arai is less safe than a new $150 bargain helmet.
