You are way more intelligent than you realize! Here's a list of signs that actually indicate a super bright mind. They are all scientifically proved, so if you feel like a few of them are true for you, you have every reason to call yourself a genius!
SUMMARY
- Justin Kruger and David Dunning worked with a group of Cornell University undergrads and published the results of their research in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 1999. They asked students to predict their scores after being tested in Humor, Logical reasoning and English Grammar. Those who were 100% sure they did outstandingly well ended up with worse results than those who were more critical of themselves.
- Psychologist Oliver Burkeman has done some serious research on the lifestyle of the brightest minds in the world. He concluded that smart people tend to save up their mental abilities for more important things. Unless those smart people are fashion designers or Lady Gaga, of course.
- Empathy is a sign of exceptional mental intelligence. If you are emotionally intelligent, you love meeting new people and learning new things. According to psychologist and author of Focus: The Hidden Drivers of Excellence Daniel Goleman, people who care a lot about others and can feel them well, generally, succeed in life.
- The ability to control instincts is what we know distinguishes humans from animals. Genius people went even further: they manage to overcome and control any impulses they have. If you can plan and achieve goals without being distracted by emotions you are more intelligent than you might imagine.
- Professor emeritus of the University of Louisville Joanne Rowe has concluded light-eyed humans, and even animals are way better at activities requiring self-pacing than the dark-eyed creatures. The fact that you are better at self-paced activities means that you like paying attention to every detail.
- M.D. Franz H. Messerli, who is most likely a chocolate lover himself, published the results of his study in The New England Journal of Medicine. He tried to link genius (Noble prize winner kind of genius) per ten million people with the amount of chocolate consumed in certain countries. And he found it.
- Genius people don’t stick to the past. And, they don’t blame everyone and everything around for their sadness. Psychologist Daniel Goleman explains a real genius does not only address problems but also recognizes emotions when he feels them, and not ignores them.
- Psychologists Daniel Swigley and Gary Lupyan conducted a whole study on it. The good self-talk, according to them, helps us sort the important thoughts from useless stuff going through our minds.
- A study conducted at the Northwestern University has stated that a genius hates any kind of background noise because it prevents him from concentrating on important issues.
- Next time someone criticizes your handwriting, simply nod, say “I am sorry you don’t get it” and triumph on the inside. Messy writing is one of the signs of a genius!
Did you recognize any of these signs in yourself, or maybe you are now positive your best friend is a genius? Feel free to share it in the comments section.

I have gotten through half of this video and heard the blue eyed research. I am here to tell you that it is this type of thinking that led partly to the superior race movement. Although the research "led to this conclusion" we must dig deeper and study HOW the research was done, if there were pre conclusions predicted, and what kind of testing was done in the research. This kind of thinking can be dangerous IMO.

The hardest part is sitting by yourself in silence and listening to your soul getting downloads. For some people they think that if they hardly do something, they are not useful. No by sitting and disciplining yourself to stop the hardcore addictions of the daily grind, even for 10-15-30 minutes a day. You begin to understand your inner engineering, or dynamics. I think genius people are detached to some degree, and a bit socially awkward as well. Many may even appear eccentric, talk to themselves, become obsessive with certain tasks, and prefer to be alone with their thoughts. They think outside the box and are creative. I've known a few geniuses and I find them facinating. Maybe it's because I can relate to their flow of thinking. I would say most on the list I line up with except I'm not obsessed in wearing just one clothing day after day, even though I have because I like an outfit. More like, I would have to wear something unique everytime more than anything. I have blue eyes... I remember my father tellling me that intelligent people had blue eyes. I actually found that offensive for those who had brown or green eyes. Genius people are intriguing to talk with. They always have something to say that will make you think. As for me... I've come to realize I still have so much to learn and know very little compared to others.

Quite a few good ones here. Not mentioned here is that intelligent people tend to have a developed sense of humor; they see humor where others do not. They don't sweat the small stuff either, they tend to have a sense of perspective and are capable of stepping back when they feel too involved Also intelligent people tend to do a lot of writing, journaling out their ideas to organize their thoughts. This is a very underused, but super effective technique.

While I agree that many normal people probably think they are geniuses after watching these kinds of videos, I have seen others that seem to have many similar arguments for why someone could be highly intelligent. I must say that I find myself having almost all of the traits in this video, and I will admit that it is a bit of a confidence boost, I know that I am probably not a genius. I think when people watch this kind of stuff, they should not only count how many of the traits they have, but also reflect on to which degree they have them. Take me for example: I talk to myself much more than anyone else I know, but not all the time. I am also a chocolate lover, but I do not eat it more than once or twice a week. If people started thinking this way, their conclusion would most likely be that their are not geniuses, because geniuses are people who would have these traits to an exceptional degree. But that is okay, not everyone has to be Elon Musk.

It seems that I have a lot of these signs, but #1 really struck me the most. It looks like the sample shows cursive is mixed with regular lettering. I started doing that by the 3rd grade, and I got a lot of grief over it. My hand writing was neat, but I tended to find it faster to not think about the letters much. That was back when they taught cursive writing in school; nowadays people are so used to texting or writing like they are still in kindergarten that it is a technique that is on the verge of totally disappearing. It isn't mentioned, but I used to doodle in the margins of my notebooks and I was wondering if it is also a sign that I understood what the teacher was saying a lot sooner than most of my classmates.

Love is what allows you to move millions of people, to rally them, to inspire them, to give them a vision to do something, love is what allows you to land someone on the moon, love is what allows you to tackle slavery or oppression of other sorts, love is what allows you to care about the environment, clean up the environment, to create better schools and that's ultimately all that people want. What do people want in the world? They want to be able to love. To love their family, to love their children, to love their nation and then to go beyond that and smoke DMT 😂

I had always thought that I wasn't more intelligent than most people as I was raised by people who made me feel I was dumb. As I grew up and went to school, my teachers always picked me to go to contests and I always scored 1st and 2nd place. In elementary and middle school I was the first place. When I was in 9th grade when I dropped out and went to get GED after years. It took me 6 weeks to get it. Later I was in few selection processes for different jobs in which there was a training and I was always selected. First time I was selected along with another lady out of 26, second time 1 out of 12, last time 10 out of 98. I still feel that I was lucky, this is how our childhood affects us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@Moukarimies1 I also have adhd and people tend to judge you on the way you handle things. They are comparing your situation to that of themselves which is the equilavent of judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. lots of people will misunderstand you and you have to learn to not take it personally even though its hard sometimes. people only see the negatives when looking at a situation and routine tasks are hard for us to do since they dont have any meaning but we get judged on our weaknesses thus we are made to feel dumb. Most people with adhd are more sensitive and emotional. Youre not only more sensitive to your own needs by being more sensitive but also the needs of others which is part of your emotional intelligence and that is also related to IQ. For me my emotional intelligence turned out to be a strenght after I knew how to use them as such. On the other hand not putting effort in your emotional well being is very damaging for adhders since not being able to regulate or control your emotions is well pretty bad

I am an architect trained in the late 70’s well before AutoCad. We were trained to write in an architectural style and were required to submit our engineering class notes re-written on graph paper which became part of our class grade. The school only accepted 10% of applicants and only 25% of those who were accepted actually graduated. I suspect that most of us were of above average intelligence. I think sloppy writing can be attributed to both intelligent people as well as low intelligence lazy people and is not a viable indicator of intelligence.

Very interesting observation! I try to emulate the non cursive printing we often see on architectural designs when plotting home renovations to tube amplification modification But I use a fountain pen and write out my thoughts using cursive as a way to force a formulation that is concise. The handwriting is fascinating to look at but often decipherable by everyone including myself. AutoCad is wonderful, but I think those who learned in a more traditional way reap the benefit of consideration because of the time it takes.

I studied drafting before CAD too. I designed garage door detail for an architect and was good at it. I tried to write in the architectual style. In fact I REALLY REALLY worked at it but could not master it. I left the profession for other reasons. I was tested at 160 IQ. What you are saying is absolute hogwash. Not everyone's brain can master certain things as it takes more than brains but also coordination. I would love to write that way if I could. I still to this day write in all caps for my normal handwriting..but it looks like crap. One thing I have learned over the years...is that making broad generalizations like you did...is NOT smart 🤣.

It's crazy cuz i just did a tarot reading and a card popped out and one of the meanings was intelligence. I'd forgotten that aspect and i come on here and this damn video is on my recommendations, despite me not watching these kinds of videos in a while. Then suddenly i remembered to look up what the card meaning is and I see intelligence. Can't be a coincidence. These videos keep popping up and sure i fit the bill in a lot of them, i still don't see it as I'm a genius fully or whatever. Despite all is that, they keep popping up despite me not clicking them. The universe is trying to tell me something. I'm also very spiritual and I've been doing shadow work and part of shadow work is accepting parts of yourself that you're denying. I believe this is one of them. I used to suffer badly from dunning Kruger affect. It's better now but i think i still have issues with it. I feel smart but sometimes i don't plus i think my race and gender affect how intelligent i see myself as because in American society people like me are rarely deemed geniuses. It's usually just white men. Sometimes i feel slow too because I'm very neurodivergent, but then again that helps my case because many people deemed geniuses are neurodivergent. Perhaps it's time i stop playing around and just accept the fact that i am a genius. Maybe all the denial is holding me back from my greatest potential.

Being smart is about making the right choices at the right time and being aware of yourself, it isn't about having a lot of knowledge. Being emotionally mature and responsable are some traits of inteligence. Among these are having a introverted personality, your eye color, hand writting or wether you're left-handed or not. Introverts actually have the chances of having a high IQ because they don't waste time socializing. They improve themself

10. Sometimes I feel like I know absolutely nothing yet I was always considered the "smart one". My sister always compares me to Hermione from Harry Potter 9. I don't wear the exact same thing everyday, but I do have a basic rotation of about 5 outfits (although I have been known to wear the same jeans for days) 8. I can always tell when someone is not into the conversation or something is just...off and I'm always finishing people's sentences. 7. I don't know about complete control. I'm usually an emotional wreck, but I've gotten better over the years. I'd probably fail the money test, though. 6. My eyes are brown...well... 5. I always say chocolate makes everything better. 4. I used to struggle with not knowing why I was upset when I was young, but the older I got the more I realized it's not that I don't know what it's that I don't know how to tell someone about it. Sometimes I have difficulty articulating what's going on. 3. I MOST DEFINITELY talk to myself. I have since I was a child and continue to do so to this day. 2. My family is super loud; it's annoying. 1. It's a good thing I'm typing this otherwise no one would be able to read it. Bonus: It's 4:30 am right now. My bedroom is super messy yet I can find nearly everything. Don't know if that necessarily makes me a "genius" nor if any if the other stuff does, either. I suppose I just related to mostly everything in this video. Oh, also noteworthy, I am responding to these from memory.

maybe, maybe not. Just an alernative train of thought: Light hair, skin, and eyes developed so that people living in super-cold areas could get more sun on their skin to create vitamin D. Cold areas are far harder to live in than warm areas, and require far more planning and creativity to keep the body warm, build shelter that can last with 4' of snow on the roof, to store food for and garden in only 5 or 6 (or less) months of the year, to find ways to walk and travel in snow without sinking or getting lost. Only those with above-average intelligence could survive. The others starved to death and/or froze to death. I'd bet those with high IQs with brown eyes are more likely to have lighter hair and eyes as a recessive gene.

Damn son, I always say that when people would ask me why I was talking to myself. I thought I was the only one. Didn't know if I was smart or a smart ass. I know what the other guys thought though.

I can relate to the fact that I talk to myself a lot. I sometimes write down what I am saying to myself in my school books.

I talk to myself in my videos when I reach a revelation that I need to go back to and affirm later. I am definitely quite smart, which I knew, yet humbly I have had the deck stacked against me, which is why I am not conventionally successful. It's cool to live in my brain and I enjoy my gift from god!

If I don't like myself (enough),will I have problems telling the truth? If I like myself *too* much, will I have problems telling the truth? Most people I know (or am aware of) right now, fall into one or the other category. Where do you land?

My eyes *are* blue, and if you think that's evidence that I'm smarter than someone otherwise similar but with eyes of a different color, then I think you're not qualified to talk about intelligence.

If you color coordinated your closet, ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES! So if today you are feeling orange or your white slacks with pink pin strips are clean it makes it so much easier to find a matching top and jacket.
