You should open your eyes and heart to try to understand it, instead of mocking it, especially if don’t know much about it. @@dropssergian I don’t necessarily believe in “god” the way that other people do, but i do understand the importance and need for other people to have a higher power, to never get ahead of yourself and always be humbled, and many other reasons. Being myself though, even if a higher power helps me sometimes, the idea of god in christianity, or other religions, just doesn’t align with my logical/skeptical side. So although I know there isn’t a man in clouds, i can still respect and understand your opinions/feelings.

The kind of kindness people think of cannot expect anything in return, it is an act of empathy without expectation of personal gain, not even in the form of a thank you. You should practice gratefulness for everything and not expect gratefulness back, because the point of gratefulness is not to be a reward for whatever you do but a realization that it's healing of the soul and a path to release yourself from egoism and unnecessary suffering.

We always give in order to receive a pay off. It doesnt always have too be in materialistic things but could also be for our mentality. Just cause it feels good wich backs up my claim. We do it to get rid of someone. Doesnt make it wrong its still a good thing. Damn doing things that dont give a payback seems really bad and even impossible.
