Today, sweet Lof got more practice climbing higher in the tree and practice in landing as she flew down from the trunk of the tree. Lof begins with doing some wingers and then climbs higher and higher out of sight on the slanted trunk. Brit brings in an unknown animal food. We can hear Lof squeeing out as Mom is eating some of her meal. It took a bit of time for Lof to make the decision for her descent back down to the nest but she did. In her landing, she almost stepped off the edge of the nest. And after she landed, she rushed her mom for what is left of the meal. From the north cam, we can see where Lof was able to save her landing at the edge of the nest. Good for her!
Thank you, Hancock Wildlife Foundation for allowing us the privilege to follow Brit and Rey throughout their nesting season this year. Join us as we follow this magnificent eagle pair this year.
