Tom!! You must stop playing such intersting and wonderful games. I have bought 5 games in the last 2 months because of you. My wallet can hardly stand it anymore. He is thinning and weak, he used to be plump and happy. I may have to return to just enjoying the game through your videos, which are ALWAYS AMAZING!!!

I like the biome mechanic, that's an interesting way of switching things up in the crowded survival crafter genre.

I feel like a better way to limit water would be by limiting how much your waterskin could hold so long trips could be a problem, rather than needing to add more lakeshore to be able to drink enough water to survive a day

Yeah, you should be able to just refill whenever, though I understand the point seems to suggest a game of constant moving on, however crafting houses and fetch quests kind of goes against that. It stands to reason that establishing a renewable life style should be the goal of a game like this, with exploratory journeys.

I agree. I get they're trying to promote more of a nomadic play style, but that conflicts with the fixed base locations. Perhaps some kind of adjacency bonus for the tiles? Lots of adjacent lakes could have increased water capacity, or river tiles that speed up the refill of any lake they empty into

Make old bases valuable in some way? Like setting up caches for yourself or something. Or helping as landmarks.

@@moldiworp9143 yeah, I mean, bases can be packed up easily enough, four or five inv slots, so not too hard to drift around. Depends how many quests are in one spot I guess

Tom seems to be one of the few youtubers that I follow that seems to have similar taste in games as me (and it seems others who view his channel as well). That has become a real problem in out household since I've put a pretty sum into the "Tom games fund". No regrets so far.

The intro seems a bit off... You leave your cottage to help Corpse Creek by... becoming homeless? But the gameplay feels fun.

"The tragedy of the people of Corpse Creek tugs at your heart! They need your help!" Time to go spend a few weeks building a base camp and scavenging for provisions instead of going to actually help the people of Corpse Creek. People who no longer live in the town, because apparently it was abandoned almost immediately after the big meteor disaster. It felt like they wanted to give the main character some big heroic purpose which ends up being completely at odds with the survival style gameplay.
