I think if you use a scientist as a outpost guy on a research cog, you sometimes can get extra points. I've had it happen a couple of times, but other times I've just gotten the flat rate. I did get 2 30/hr research cogs in the same zone on my last game, i was getting 120/hr from just one outpost, it was great... then my save failed and i lost everything. Ce La Vie i suppose

Wow! That is an awesome science outpost. Lucky you 😁 but yes I also think that who you turn into a settler affects their potential outpost. Maybe scientists make better science outposts and scavengers make better scavenger outposts? I think it’s something to test.
