Tuvzii Because production thought it was a waste of time to fill up an episode. From Season 31 onward, they like to fill up the entire 42 minutes with StRatEGy & BiG mOvEZ, even though ALL of the fans were upset that the auction was taken away.

@@jordand6641 They used the whole Mike Holloway thing as an excuse to cancel the auction. Geeze just tell them before hand they'll be no big advantage in the game. They didn't like FIVE people refusing to bid on food to get an advantage in the game, and the whole Will and Shirin nastiness stemming from Will's auction win. But World's Apart was unique and they didn't have to cancel the auction because of that.

It's understandable actually. Chocolate has sugar which they definitely were needing. But doretos and salsa is just yummy, no benefit.

They were SO DAMN stingy on Australian Outback. Geeze. I don't like watching them be that damn stingy. There was that one reward challenge where they gave the winner ONE SLICE of pizza. Which they made him share a tiny bit to each person plus a phone call from home. I actually really enjoy them getting a big spread for reward not this crap.

In early survivor, especially this one, they legit starved the contestants to though. Like this group didnt have rice for days I remember.

Goliath) there was a challenge where Christian got to talk to Jeff for about 5 hours, obviously they couldn't and wouldn't air all of it, but after the season, Christian did an interview and talked about what he talked about during that challenge. One of the things he asked Jeff was if the auction would come back: "Jeff said the Survivor auction, in his estimation, will not come back. I told him I liked it! His reasoning was that it's not as interesting to watch hungry people eat food anymore."
