Watching this on the couch because the wife's kicked me out of bed I'm eating pop tarts and cheese and I'm not sure I'm gonna make it until morning, I can't make a fire and I'm desperately low on beer. Tell my dog I love him x

In my eyes you've always been way better than Bear Grylls. You're literally my childhood and I'm so happy to find this on KZfaq. Marathon time

You know you would have been way better off with a ultra light rod and real fly fishing is impossible with out practice

I was half expecting him to just murder the horses as soon as he got out there for food until he said he was keeping them alive as well

Les’ show is like the Bob Ross of nature videos. They’re so relaxing, informative, and interesting.

I love when Stroud starts to lose it at the cameras throwing a fit from hunger. Im glad he kept that in the final cut. Thats the first time I've seen him lose his mind.

That sure is pretty country. Les has the best survival shows. You actually can learn.

Its equally fascinating that he also produced all the acoustic guitar, harmonica and all other music throughout the episodes.

years before i lost my younger brother to a heroin overdose, he and I were HUGE fans of your Les. This show used to be on Discovery Channel back in the day and that's how we discovered it. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found you on KZfaq. It's like getting a small piece of those days with my brother back into my life, so thank you.

I love that you left the bloopers in from before the fish meal. There is something comforting about watching a normal human on

what Ive really come to appreciate about Les' videos is that he is always respectful to the environment he is in, and gives advice on how to migitate any damage one's prescence could cause (such as when he kicked away the horse manure to protect the native vegetation). No killing small animals for shock value, no overdramatic narration or obnoxious sound effects, just an expert sharing his knowledge with the world.

Thank you for being such a pivotal part of my childhood, Les. So many fond memories watching you on TV on weekends during school and summertime.

Born and raised in Colorado and spent thousands of hours in those hills, having a fly rod is genius

I really love that when he finds animals to eat, he doesn’t always go for the kill. He could have ate those baby birds, but he’d rather let them live. Partly because they wouldn’t provide a ton of calories anyways, and also because he’s just a good friendly Canadian.🇨🇦

Loved this show at 15. 20 years later nothing has changed. Thanks Les.

The nice thing about Colorado is that if you keep moving down, follow water, you'll eventually hit a road or find people. Unless your leg is disabled and you're in the deepest of the deep wilderness areas it's sort of hard to find yourself in a survival situation aside from somehow being stranded in the worst winter days. There's just too many roads and people moving about.

Never mind your survival skills (and sheer experience), your way of shooting things truly captures the environments you're in. You get a sense of scope, of size, of angles, makes me feel like I'm there.
