Watched this movie first time on TV almost 25 years ago, and now watched it uninterrupted in 2024. Unknowingly the eyes filled with tears throughout the second half. We are nobody to judge what is right and what is not. However the storyline keeps us engrossed totally centered around Suhasini (Sindhu) projecting the independent feminism decades ago by KB Sir, the Guru of both Legends- Rajini and Kamal, a historical National Award Winning masterpiece for the Tamil Movie Industry. Noblest of all characters, is the Wife Sulakshana unparalleled display of womanhood at its best.

Ippadi pirikkiradhudhan tamil padangalil vazhakam. Pongaiyaaa... Sivakumar sir (now im his fan after seeing his 5 good films in 2023) and Suhasini madam did a great job. Its KB's another Gem. KB fans dont miss this❤

absolutely brilliant story telling : outstanding amalgamation of music, human emotions, relationships (all sorts.. husb-wife, orphan child-mother, boss-subordinate, extra-marital, friendship) yearning for child, society, class systems, nature, oceans... all sorts of things.. happening... human weaknesses (alcohol, need for recognition etc etc).. JUST SUPERB... all is fine if you accept and ignore the basic FALLACY : HOW COME a well ESTABLISHED REPUTABLE MUSICIAN chose to marry an UTTER "LIFELESS-JADAM" a person with no talent/ knowledge in MUSIC? his educated friends like the attorney and others... didn't advise him against marrying such a person of total OPPOSITE nature as him?
