This clip comes from a livestream of a “Seder in the Streets to Stop Arming Israel” Katie anchored which was held on the second night of Passover on Tuesday night. The demonstration was held in Brooklyn one block away from the home of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer hours before the Senate approved a $95 billion foreign aid package that includes about $17 billion in arms and security funding to Israel. Hundreds of protesters were arrested. During the seder, Katie was in a studio on Manhattan’s Lower East Side providing commentary and interviewing special guests Rabbi Brant Rosen, filmmaker Michael Moore, journalist Abby Martin, Actor, playwright and essayist Wallace SHawn, Human Rights and environmental lawyer Steven Donziger and actor and activist Susan Sarandon. And she was joined in studio by Fouad Dakwar, a Palestinian-American musical theater writer and the creator of the great musical Fouad of Nazareth.

@@RoeRogan231 If people read past the idealistic first paragraph in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, most people are surprised to find the second paragraph says in effect none of that matters, if those rights are violated broadly by national policy, and not selectively to target small subgroups or individuals. In a sense, a Sharia nation has fewer such rights violations than the USA, given all our biased state and local laws, which fail the uniform national policy exemptions. International law is a mess from lawyers, politicians, and diplomats.

90 grand a year to attend Columbia University. I think the students who pay that tuition should be able to protest how their institution is run.

You have the absolute right to peacefully demonstrate and show solidarity for a group of people being oppressed. However, you do not have the right to smash windows to then occupy buildings and prevent other students from their opportunities to learn or disrupt their commencement. Furthermore, you don't have the right to demand food service while you illegally occupy a building, nor do you have a right to demand how any institution chooses to invest. If you oppose how Columbia University invests, seek a transfer to a school better aligned with your moral compass. Sorry, but your ideals are far from reality. And while most applaud you standing up for the people of Palestinian, Americans are growing tired of the sense of entitlement that is presented by students.

I love what she said "please stay in this country" we can fix it. I think it's such an important narrative to adopt. US citizens with dual nationalities are renewing their passport after 2016-> current full adoption of Fascism
