Fun fact: cucumber sushi is known as kappasushi. That's because cucumber is the favourite food of kappa, a creature from Japanese floklore.

Same goes for the tofu skin sushi called Inari sushi since it is also the favorite sushi of Inari in Japanese folk religion.

But the social pressure to being disciplined and socially conscious is also heavy. I cant imagine living in a place like that while having mild social anxiety.

I am super jealous - I haven't been to my local conveyor belt sushi place in over a year now, and I am REALLY jealous of the fact that the price for two of you to eat all that sushi is about the same amount as I paid for just me to go to a so-so place in the US. I can't wait to get back to Japan again someday...

Such a clever system for delivering sushi. Pretty much eliminates wait staff, and allows the chefs to focus on preparing food more efficiently.

When you are able to finally travel back here to Hawaii, you should try Genki Sushi, where instead of conveyer belts, they have shinkansen trains delivering your sushi!

I have loved sushi for nearly 40 yrs , from way back when I was an exchange student to Japan and long, long before it was an "in" thing here in Australia. We have just recently had a sushi train restaurant open in my home town, boy was I excited!.Loved your video BTW!!!

Ikura punchi-punchi. The kids love it, too. My favorite sushi is : all. Unagi is the best followed by ikura and saba.

This video was a perfect little gem to wait for 🙂 the sushi seemed delicious and at a very good price! Must give it a try! I love the pickled ginger! Everytime my best friend and I go to our local Japanese restaurant we always get a plate of ginger to share as it is so good! My favourite sushi is kappa Maki, Inari sushi, tamago and spicy salmon or spicy tuna. I love the seaweed salad some places have!

None of the sushi restaurants near me have real crab!! I always get salmon, in my personal experience you can never go wrong with salmon! Always sweet and melts in your mouth ☺️

My favourite sushi is salmon roe and cucumber I can't choose between them, I love both! I live in Spain, and in my city at least, I can't find any shop which sells natto, so... I have to wait. I really love the ginger flavor too, like that it's similar to our pickle stuff. I get used to drink my tea with some raw ginger too.

me .. watching it for the 20th times already 🤣 i seriously love watching others eating sushi.. cause im allergic to it but also loved it. i once tried one before being rushed to the hospital.🤣 things you do for love. now im only reduced to watching them eat it om my stead.
