Great video. My wife's 2009 has a ton of play and noise in the front and this helped narrow it down for me. Those end links look like too easy of a fix, so I'm gonna do it asap.

With all of that I would have done the ball joints kinda off tough but huge ride improvement a 10 yr old car with no grease fittings have them checked. That’s the part that can let your tire fly by u literally when you see people on the road with thier tires off they usually need a ball joint 🤓great video alway love seeing people diy

Bad Dog Rides major noise are your ball joints check them for sure major safety concern with play the tools are rented at all major parts stores free just put a deposit and u get u it back..., safe driving

Few things I’ve learn on my 2013 Stang, before lowering the car I need to change upper n lower rear control arms, Panhard bar, front lower control arms n upgrade to adjustable bump steers as not to have issues later on since lowering changes alignment on the car!
@adammclainjr92754 жыл бұрын
we dont have upper control arms on Mustangs. your strut is your upper control arm. are you sure you own one lol
@tatiana111584 жыл бұрын
Adam McLain what are you talking about? Rear upper control arms? You must be confused with your lawnmower
@tatiana111584 жыл бұрын
Adam McLain you’re a moron for not reading what I wrote! Rear Lower, upper n Panhard bar go in the back! Might want to dish out that lawnmower of yours n next time you see a 2013 Mustang look underneath n walla, holy shit! The rear has upper control arm n Panhard bar! You’re definitely one dumb subscriber! Pay attention that you learn to read first before making dumb ass comments! Muy pendejo!

That's so neat that you can do that! Seriously! Sorry it didn't pan out as you expected, but I am glad you got it handled for the most part. This was the night I went for a walk wasn't it...
@ReidG_RN7 жыл бұрын
Yep! It was hard work, but glad I was able to at least try & learn some things along the way. Yes, that's the night.

Nitto NT555 G2's are great, they're not too expensive either. Although you already bought tires so it doesnt matter.. Let me know how the Generals are.
@ReidG_RN7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info man! I'll keep those in mind once the Generals are worn out. So far, I'm really impressed with the Generals. Exceptionally grippy for an all-season and they're great in the rain, too.

So what is the fail?

The cotterpin should be inserted and bent backwards over the castlenut using a pair of pliers. They're there to prevent the castlenut from backing out over time. For safety, don't reuse old cotter pins. Also the tierod end should be greased with a zerk gun as sometimes the balljoints in the tierod ends are a bit dry when shipped from the factory. I'm a huge fan of the S197's

Preston wow , I thought I was somewhat mechanically inclined , you just went completely over my head rn 😂 I’m gonna have to research all those terms
@bobayagga22334 жыл бұрын
You lost me at castlenut and zerk gun . Immediately thought about Sparta and the Brave 300 😂😂💯

@@bobayagga2233 Then YOU don't know what you're doing. Those are simple terms that comes with the parts. Without those two things, you wasted hours just to go back and do it again, or crash into a tree. Your choice.

why would you scrap your Jack under the car and not just drive up on a few boards to make room?
@ReidG_RN7 жыл бұрын
Impatience haha. It didn't damage the car so no big deal.
@adammclainjr92754 жыл бұрын
or jack it up properly from the front then put stands on the sides lol
@wl62798 ай бұрын
lol 😆 you should have just bought new springs and shocks already assembled.
@adammclainjr92754 жыл бұрын
future tip NEVER jack your car up like this your gonna fuck u your frame and it will eventually fall off the jack that way. jack it up from the front and put a jack stand on the side behind the tire. then lower your jack until you get some of the weight onto the stand then bring the jack up level with the jack stand. your car is gonna fall on you one day doing it like this be careful
@adammclainjr92754 жыл бұрын
