I got to do this a few days ago. It's a great experience. The look of disappointment in the cms faces with the amount of red sabers that day was great too

Also the power and control lightsabers and elemental nature lightsabers look way cooler than they used to. Kinda bummed they took out the Rancor tooth, but it's also kinda cool they replaced it with a Bantha horn. Wish it was a little bigger bigger, though.

I built my 1st one last month. Its definitely an expetience. A couple things I wish I would've known: 1st I didn't know you can look at the different scrap before you go in. Yeah I liked the spontaneous of it at the moment but just a quick glance beforehand would have been nice(trust me I love what I picked but anxiety kicked in during the build) and 2nd I didn't know you could bring someone in to record! My wife's not a star wars fan but after finding this out, she said she would've recorded me building it. I'm looking into either possibly getting a jaymoo blade in the future or just getting a whole new neopixel blade instead. I recommend it if you're any kind of star wars fan.

Now I kind of wish I went now. The elemental nature looks cooler now. I probably won't be able to go back, but I still love the saber I built. Specially with the rancor tooth. Glad they updated the pieces, but hopefully they can maybe put some of the old pieces on sale as a special "extras" to purchase for more custom options. I imagine if they did that they would probably charge 80-100 for the additional set.

Just booked my reservation this month!! I'm surprising my best friend with his own lightsaber so I cannot wait to see his reaction! Watching this has made me feel more excited about going than I was before.

I have been waiting for YEARS to make one of these!! And finally, i just might get my chance next year when my marching band goes to disney to perform!!

I am a little mad they change the parts. I wanted the old protection and justice (the republic lightsaber) because I like the angled emitter on it along with the Anakin handgrip. Now if I go to Disney I got to rethink my choices.

I built mine yesterday and I happy with the result and the experience was dope. Only issues I have are that my blade is dirty and it seems to be from within the plastic so I can’t clean it :/ also the sheath breaks wayyy too easy I went to take off the tag with force and it got torn open without me even pulling too hard.

I would go just for the lightsaber

Going at the end of February. Was scared that it still didn't include the bag with the saber(heard something about that no longer being included) but look like they still are! Makes me happy cuz my friend has one already and I really like the bag for some reason.

On a personal note, i always thought i was a red sabered type. But i really looked deep inside myself and said "wait...but why? Im not a bad person. Im not a 'control all and enslave all' type of person." So i chose BLUE and felt more "ONE" with it. To this day, i still love my Jedi Temple Guard style blue lightsaber and ive had it for years. With these new pieces, i think ill be able to get my red saber.

I just went to galaxy’s edge for the first time today and I’m going back tomorrow to build my lightsaber

i feel as if they would easily break, aside from unscrewing everything off, the part that displays the saber seems fragile and sort of just popped right on there which means it can probably pop right off

I wish galaxies edge made a wall mount with all the lights and add-ons for the Khyber crystal they just have ones to mount on the table or desk, and I think it would look better on a wall

They weren’t joking about the spiked emitter being too powerful they said the same line to me but instead we had to ask for the spiked emitter afterwards and they did not warn me about taking it off before putting it in the sheath it tore right through ☠️

I get to do this in February and I’m so excited for it, I have a darth maul lightsaber I got from books a million as a kid and I finally will get another one

I have been battling stage four colon cancer since 2018. Unfortunately, I have an u known cancer gene, which basically keeps reproducing tumors like a factory. Chemo and radiation seem to work and make them go away, but then a few months later, new knee appear. Once I am well enough to travel, it is my dream to go and build a lightsabers. Been a Star Wars fan since the 80s and had a massive collection, but sadly, I had to sell it off the last years to pay for medical bills. Still have some pieces that I could not part with. Loving the new sights at the Disney Star Wars are. Hope to be down there soon.

You need to review The Sims 4: Journey To Batuu expansion pack. It's an exact copy of Disney's Galaxy Edge but simmified. However, you have Oga's tavern, savi's worshop where you can buy hilts and crystals... and the goal is to either join the resistance or the first order and go up their ranks... and if you don't feel like taking sides you can always join Hondo Ohnaka and become a pirate :)

Funnily enough, lot of the original parts were ripped straight from Jedi: Fallen Order. You used to basically be able to test out combinations in the game, which I think was rather cool.

what’s the price for the first time buying/making 1?

I have one question how big are the blades for these I know you have a few different options online when ordering for the Legacy sabers but I’m confused which size they give for the workshop experience.

My Brother and I found some old broomsticks. Painted green and red. Put old bicycle grips on the ends. Then commenced to beat the crap out each other. So much fun.

It would be fun if they had Yoda making a playful, but understanding comment toward those who made red lightsabers.

This is definitely a 1 time experience. Because I would pay do it it the second time.
