I Picked up a new cast iron dutch oven and tested it out for the first time while SUV camping with my GF. We did some exploring, found a new gem of a camp spot and cooked one of our best camping meals yet.

Awesome camping trip, beautiful area. I've been cooking with dutch ovens for about 3 years now (still a rookie) but my only advice is to have half the coals under than on top. Your mac and cheese came out nice, looked delicious. Enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing, take care you 2. 🇺🇲

Hello Adam. Vitamin "D" is best replaced by the SUN. I, at my 76 years, am up to 4 hours in the sun every day. That's what my home therapist recommended to me.

Great video dude, I do alot of atving back there and in the last few years it has become really busy. Unfortunately with that comes alot of garbage being left behind, people need to start respecting these areas or they will be shut down.

Beautiful site and great food, but as we have aged and want more protein, we now make our mac and cheese with a small can of tuna, and small can of salmon, and add a small can of peas. Tastes great and is a bit more healthy if one is not a vegan. I have camped on a river bank under a canoe, in a tiny pop up camper pulled behind a motorcycle, and most every other way in 76 years, but never in such a compact space as that, and with a large dog. You are amazing.

Taking the hatchet and chopping it into the ground when not using dulls the blade and makes it harder to chop wood when you need it

Hey guys great video, my wife and I enjoy watching your adventures together. I do have a question, we recently completed a camp road trip from our home in Idaho to Massachusetts and then on our way back we entered into Canada via Sault St. Marie and did the North Shore Circle tour around Lake Superior and came back into the states through Minnesota. We have never seen so much trash on the roadside and in the campgrounds as we did in Canada, it was not this way when I was growing up in Northern Michigan and frequented Canada quite often, I remember it as being very pristine. I also see other KZfaqrs from Canada mentioning the same thing, what's your take on it all? The younger generation was supposed to be all about keeping the planet clean.

1. Get on Cowboy Kent Rollins You Tube Channel for everything Cast-iron. 2. Check out his website for Merch.....including a great trivet made out of horseshoes that you can change the feet (bolts) for different heights. 3. While on the website, Get both of his cookbooks. Cowboy Kent is a working trail cook, yes he caters cattle drives, he's forgot more about the use, care, and maintenance, of Cast-iron than I'll ever know!!!
