I love that you said the adventure comes first and filming is secondary. Your priorities are life and happiness, not perfection videoing your life and adventures. You’re making videos for people to watch for free, they aren’t paying $15 each to watch on a big screen in the theater or buying the video for their personal library. Keep doing what you’re doing and keep your priorities in check. Much love , admiration and respect, Jen from Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

I can certainly see why some people may get lightheaded watching you climb those rocks, on top of that, having read in the title about equipment problems, I was positive the problems were involving the carabiners or ropes or something like that... it was great to see it was the camera and not the climbing gear that had problems. Until I understood that difference I was sweating!!!!!!! Very glad you are okay and still amazed you can make it look as easy as a walk in the park, you must have been a goat in another life!!! Thank you for the EXCELLENT video!!!!!!

You're multi-gifted for sure...and I don't mind seeing the clips where you've dropped your camera. It's reality and I appreciate that. As challenging as this trip was, you gave us some great content. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the experience of this video ! Once again you did not cease to amaze me. I’m a Midwesterner and although I grew up with fishing, camping, a small amount of hunting. My dad and uncles were from Kentucky and definitely outdoor sports minded. However, their experiences were more related to hunter/gatherer skills. To be able to conquer rock climbing/hiking such as you do is totally amazing. I love the way your love and excitement, emotions of gratification clearly show on the footage. Thank you so much for what you give us on your channel !

Wow! This was one of your best yet...just everything about it. Sorry your camera got destroyed, though. Everything about this vid was just so good. You are my #1 choice of youtube content....your vids have such great substance to them...no silly fluff like so many, and you take us all to such great places and views that we would never see otherwise. So exciting and satisfying that you are almost to 100k subscribers...as far as I am concerned, you should be at 500k.....no one is doing what you’re doing. Revere Overland is sorta like your channel, but his is about driving/overlanding to places, not all the variety of adventure that you offer....hiking, climbing, kayaking, etc.

In my teens and early 20s I did a lot of rock climbing mostly in Yosemite. I still remember climbing royal arches sleeping at the very top. Next morning coming down the goalie just before Washington column. All three of us were hooked up to a chock held between two rocks. The chalk sliped. We were all hanging on by her fingernails if that chalk pop all three of us would’ve fallen thousand feet to our death. I still wake up with nightmares. Anyway I did climb a three day route on the northwest base of half down with another guy that was a lot smarter than this group. I have done 5.14 D when I was in my youth and a lot stronger. I can’t get myself to sell my climbing gear. Just watching you do this brings a little Feeling of fear. Keep up the good work. When I get my tesla Cybertruck truck maybe I’ll see you on the road.

I always look at it this way, if you go somewhere and you can return home then it is a good trip. Yes, it is a bummer losing a camera (I just lost my Canon 17-40mm lens on my last trip.....seems the concrete floor is tougher than the lens) but you have to be ever so thankful that it was the camera and not your vehicle, or worse yet, a serious injury. That area of the country is the best part of this country and I want to thank you for showing it in all its glory.

Back in the mid 70's , it was Castle Rock, never heard it called Castleton Rock or tower. The Jailhouse Rock legend of the sheriff keeping prisoners in there was the same then too. Yes it is Jail Rock on maps but stories have it that in memory of Elvis, people thought it was cool to add the "house" to the name. What a great video, definitely brought back some memories. I still think this is more beautiful than the Grand Canyon.
