Absolutely, i ride a Gen 1 ZX10R and it's awesome. Provided you fix what needs to be fixed and set it up nicely, these bikes are surely a blast.

@@Black_Gold_Saw I know but being on 1000 k5 without any electronics, it won't be forgiving if you fuck up, which isn't the case with more modern bikes.

Better for it with no electronics it's down to the rider,, but you can definitely see that you're enjoying your self well done finnegan,, I'm glad to say that I bought a 2006 gsxr 1000 yesterday 8000 miles from New,, and had enjoyed the journey you two took,, and with no stand,, from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

Be interesting to know if it was testimony to the stock Nissins (garbage for road use let alone track) or it was failure if something more special?! (I have Bembos on mine taken off the later L1/L2 Gsxr ....along with the accossato master cylinder = amazing brakes )

Thanks to this bbb and listening to Al say buy a minter older bike rather than newer rougher one( which I usually do) I've brought a mint low mileage k3 gsxr 1000 😀

Off the gas and braking nearly 1 second early every corner. Different story if you had a set of Brembo calipers. BTW engine sounded strong. The K5 and K6 is a special make IMO. Great rider compensating for crap brakes.

Guys please tell me what to buy i have 2 options suzuki gsxr 1000 (2006) with slip on sc for 4.500euro or yamaha r1 (2008) with full grandprixrace exhaust from the head and k&n filter for 6.000 euro bouth of the bikes are in increadable conditions tell me what to dooooooo!!!! K6 gets to 150 mph as fast as any bike. After 160ish is where it doesn't pull as hard. Excellent street motor
