I'd have to say I didn't notice much difference between the OEM and the Scorpion until you took the baffle out.

I know your channel isn't big at the moment and perhaps that's not even a goal (I would hardly blame you for wanting to keep things small and more personal) but this is an excellent video. The table of contents are handy and save us from playing with the scroll bar in hopes of finding that one elusive moment where you talk about the exhaust hanger bolt size or what have you. For the record, I watched the whole video from end to end. Also you gave great details on the installation going step by step, even weighing components, and highlighting the differences. And last but not least you have a pleasant voice and articulate vocabulary that appeals to those of us who are above the mouth-breathing, roid raging, RAWR videos seemingly made by those with the maturity of a 12 year old that seem to predominate motorcycle content on youtube.

Without doubt, one of the best motorcycle (support) videos I've seen. Well done. 👍

Just bought a 2020 sv 2 weeks ago and love it . I just installed the same slip on tonight but first had to grind off a ring spot welded in three places that was on the end of the factory header before it would fit . The ring wouldn't allow the slip on to seat fully and you could not install the footpeg bolt . In your excellent video l can see no ring welded on the end of your header pipe allowing you easy installation. Just an fyi for those with a 2020 sv , l used an air grinder that l already owned otherwise it would have been a real pain in the butt , l also had to grind the spot welds down flat so the slip on could slide in place fully.

Thanks for the video. I just installed the titanium version of this exhaust on my 2017 SV650 - flute in, baffle out. Sounds really good. I did a before and after test drive. I noticed that the bike feel less restricted, more eager and energetic in first and second gear. It was a pleasant surprise.

Great video, answers all my questions. Except one. What does the stock muffler look like without the heat shield?

When I had my scorpion first installed, it smelled like burning candles. Apparently this was normal. I recommend putting some exhaust paste on it to prevent possible leaks as mine had some at the beginning.

Great install video 👍 but I'm leaning towards the Leo Vincé dual or the Yoshimura Alpha shorty exhaust.

NIcely done. I was looking for an aftermarket can that would look better than the OEM but wouldn't be too much louder. This fits the bill and looks to be a quality unit too. Might have to invest in a spring tool though... And I can always take the baffle(s) out when I want to be a hooligan :-)

I just bought a 2018 SV650, brand new... $5800 out the door. I put down $2k, financing the rest. Before I put a $500 muffler on, and then possibly a $450 seat...I'm gonna take that $1000 and put it towards the bike. Then only $2800 to go. #newrider so, I'm gonna ride it stock for a while, then get cute after I'm comfy. Nice video tho !

Try a Shorai lithium battery next! Have an Akra and Shorai on my DL650!

Does the Scorpion have any adverse effects on the bike? I really enjoy the smooth throttle / fuelling and wouldn't want to risk loosing that.

Seriously? Almost 12 minutes to explain how to fit a slip on silencer? Terms like 'exhaust system' give you an idea of why this guy takes 12 minutes to fit a slip on silencer. It isn't a system, it is a silencer. That isn't a 'flute' or a 'unit' it is simply a baffle. Give it a rest mate.
