English translations, as best I could make them ;) pull, pull, pull, pull ohoj The stern cuts through the seas, Like the sword cuts through the sea mist, The west wind fills the sails, we will lead you to war. The silence of the forest was our cradle, We grew big in the forest's bosom. Stout oak and springy ash, elm with it jagged leaves, Ax-felled, broad-axes formed, fair fruits of the hand's work, Tile-built, iron-wrought, bellows-blown and hammer's blow. pull, pull, pull, pull ohoj Bold warriors on us rides, wave-riders are we, Sharpen swords and slender battle-spears, Bound weapons, Great axes, silver-plated, master smith's finest work, Shield hung side by side, Decorates proud railings. pull, pull, pull, pull ohoj Cheers to Vanir-Njord! Cheers to Sea-Aegir! Cheers to war's Tyr! Protect us well! Those who drown here should not fear it, They shall lay with the sea's maidens nine. The idea of yours to let us be built, gave us purpose, gave us courage, The idea of yours to name us, gave us life, gave us meaning, We are ships, shuttles, snekker (?), heroes' dragons, longboats, bonfire flames' hot waves, our last journey, To Valhalla! Pull! Row! To the oars! The stern cuts through the seas, Like the sword cuts through the sea mist, The west wind fills the sails, we will lead you to war. pull, pull, pull, pull ohoj

You are joking right? "Svartsot" sounds german to you? "Ravnenes Saga" sounds german? Perhaps it is the lyrics including all those æ, ø and å, that made you think it was german. Everyday when I go to work, I walk past the Vikingship museum in Roskilde. What the hell are all those scandinavian vikingships doing in Denmark? Stop trolling! ^^
