Authored by Rob McMillan and the SVB Wine Division, the report analyzes the key trends impacting the wine industry and provides an update on how wineries are attracting new customers.
For this event, we brought together a panel of experts to discuss the report's key findings and to share their thoughts on the wine world. The panel featured:

We need to talk about wage stagnation and disparity. The "younger" generations are interested in wine and the more discretionary income that they have, the more wine they will buy. I think one of the issues is that those who can't afford good wine, aren't buying as much cheap wine. Part of the post Covid boom that we saw was because the government put spending money in people's pockets, not just that they were tired of being locked in their houses. If you want a booming wine industry, support and lobby for policies that will strengthen the middle class. Did the upper class buy more wine when they got their big tax cut in 2018 or did their consumption stay the same? Who wants to buy your wine and can they?
