Yes it did mainly because the Playstation was out years before since 1995 by the time Playstation 2 came around the Playstation 2 was very well established and that's the reason it got access so many exclusives Xbox was just starting out game developers didn't have a deal with them Playstation outselling Xbox was a given Micrsoft knew that------- however the Xbox 360 vs Ps3 era was much different the 360 sold very well and both consoles sold 77 million which was bad for sony since last gen it wasn't even close. Most people I knew had a 360 I didn't know many people who were on Ps3 the online was always superior to Sony and the Xbox controller was much better especially on shooters that and some great excluvies online multiplayer was the best for 360/

Raw 2 has its issues, but even Raw 2 looks like No Mercy in comparison to WM21...Shame the SVR2005 soundtrack wasn't in Raw 2 instead.

Yeah! I thought i was the only one who remembers that. Shipped it out, got it back, and it was even worse. The altBig show with different hair was a hidden character but already unlocked, game would freeze during replays. Ai would endlessly spam stomps and not pin so you'd have to reset. I was so pissed

@@silveredgrunion7196 Yeah for sure it was embarrassing for the company to try and pretend that there was glitch in the game and that they would send you the improved version. The game in general was a glitch. Xbox didn't ever have a good wrestling game. It's sad when you look back and you remember the big press conference with Bill Gates and The Rock announcing Raw and what a disappointment that game was and then Raw 2 which a lot of People speak highly of because of all the creative options and things you could do that were really good ideas but the gameplay was garbage so what's the point. Wrestlemania 21 was the final chapter and it was just another disappointment. After that it was on to the Xbox 360 which is the Xbox console so far. They made all the right moves with that system, releasing first and getting a head start while the PS3 had all these issues with delays for hardware and software and then the crazy $700.00 price tag. Xbox 360 was the only next gen system to get Smackdown vs Raw 2007 in 2006 and that was the right move getting the Smackdown series on the Xbox. Sadly though that's the only wrestling option we get now when it comes to the WWE and the game is so stale but they keep sticking with the same developers. Even though there won't be a WWE game this year it sounds like they are still sticking with 2K. They should get Syn Sophia formerly AKI to make the next game before AEW actually gets anything going because who knows when that game will actually get done.

@@dannythedon82 yeah i thought raw 2 was terrible when the bell rang. The a.i. was clumsy and everything lacked any kind of impact. Yes you could create anyone even current tna guys at the time like abyss and aj styles with realism, once you left the create suite, it was all over.

And the best wrestler on the xbox that i STILL play , is Legends of Wrestling 3. Yes its got issues but fun ones, the gameplay moves along just fine and even speeds up at the right times. The commentary...i am STILL finding gold i hadnt heard before from bobby heenan. I did a match with Sid vs King Kong Bundy and Heenan was talking trash, Schiavone said "brain would you cut it out" and brain said something like "sshhh dont say that around Sid" (referencing Sids past with scissors)

@@silveredgrunion7196 yeah I remember Legends Of Wrestling Showdown had the craziest roster of pretty much any wrestling game plus they all had 4 ring attires that were all great. The graphics were even good but the one name that all you need to know that's it was too good to be true was Acclaim. I had all the Legends of Wrestling games. I got the very first one for Christmas 2001 when I also got my Playstation 2 and then I got part 2 the very next year around Christmas in 2002. I Found the first 2 played a little better than the 3rd and even had some better options but the roster in Showdown was what was so appealing. I just wanted and hoped it would be the wrestling game I was desperately seeking but it was pretty disappointing. I still own my copy but I sold part 1 & 2 a long time ago or actually I think they were stolen from me. Anyways All of them had some good ideas to them and the gameplay wasn't the worst especially for the first 2 but I felt for th 3rd which should of been the best with the crazy roster took a step back and that was the last one. I just haven't enjoyed wrestling games since Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, Smacked Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain. No Mercy is probably the best but I didn't play it until some years later as the N64 was pretty much done around that time and Playstation 2 came out. I Pray we will get the wrestling game we have longed for but it really depends on the WWE understanding and actually listening to what the fans want.

xbox 360 came out and a lot of devs stopped working on the original xbox after that. plus, the ps2 sold really good even well into the next gen, making it profitable to continue publishing games for the console into the 2010s

Paul Bell Yea Raw 2 was good it’s season mode was similar to SmackDown 2s imo, good season mode but it shoulda had the brand split in it cuz the game came out in 2003.

OakL 2974 Despite all of it's flaws, at least the first RAW was playable. This looks great visual-wise and the career mode is a great change, but the gameplay was shitty all-around, though.

That reminds of my relationship with WCW/nWo Thunder for the PS1. I played it so much when it came out and I didn’t really know it was bad, and while I can now clearly see how bad the game is I still have a strange love for it.

I’m the same way with the Attitude Era with WWE and the 96-98 timeframe of WCW. I’ll even play Thunder just because it was such a great time in WCW.
