They have similar curved baffles like Focal, Bipolar woofers like Def Tech. Can't wait till these are out, I might be in the dog house with my wife for a bit. Probably the Titan speaker at 4k a pair. Good job SVS👍

I love that the Turtles scene that Gary can't stand was playing in the room just as the video ended. I can't imagine what that scene sounds like with the Ultra Evolution Pinnacles they were showing it with.

I was about to buy the previous svs ultra speakers for my hifi/home theater build but now this new version is a must have I'd pay $5,000 for a single let alone a pair but yeah going to go good with the denon avr-x4800h and marantz model 40n with emotiva xpa 9 & 2 channel amps

Yaaaay... finally Ultra Elevations!! I will replace out all my Prime Elevations now.😅 Also bipolar Ultea Evolution towers... WOW 👌 I WILL BE REPLACING OUT MY DEF TECH BP10s x 7 all-around too one day. Great move Gary & Nick. I wish I had your dream jobs man. 😍🫡🤐

Not compatible for my living room 😂 but looking cool. Don't like gloss because reflections in it...but SVS knowing these will sound great, love their subwoovers, elevation speakers on ceiling and the prime set, good quality stuff!

I was looking at upgrading my Ultra towers. I was going to Arendal but will this have better highs then the Ultras. How do they compare? Can't wait to hear the reviews.

Lovely speakers, but I can't imagine that they will measure well vertically off axis. Vertical off axis with that thing will be chaos. Not as bog of an issue as horizontal once the system has been set up so should mostly be a non issue. Would love too see what Erin at EAC would find with his Klippel. That center looks very well designed though.

The W-M-T-M-W arrangement will actually be what makes the vertical axis be far better than your typical MTM design (which is already a pretty decent design) and even better than the standard T-W design. That's the whole point of creating this sort of design. It fixes the vertical axis in the FQ response. Check out any design Erin or Amir has measured on their Klippel machines for MTM designed speakers. The Genelec 8361a being a prime example. The dual 10" oval woofers in the 8361a actually help to control the directivity and help increase the power.

@@MyFatherLoves I'm sorry, are you insane? Are you trying to compare the Genelec 8361a, which is effectively a stacked coaxial/coincident, active powered, active DSP studio monitor(Even the companies product page states this)......... to a widely traditional passive, expanded MTM design?! That may be the worst take I have ever heard. IF there is one thing that Erin and anyone who measures speakers complains about is the inherent failures of an MTM design, particularly center channel speakers which are traditionally of an MTM design. They always struggle in the crossover region due to time alignment issues due to physical distances from the tweeter to the mid woofers along the long axis. It's physics. Unless you have a perfectly aligned crossover, with an extremely sloped handoff between 2 perfectly matched drive units you are going to have issues. If you want to see an appropriate comparison go look at Erin's latest review of the Q Acoustics 5040 which are a traditional MTM, similar to the new SVS design. go to 14:30 where he shows the contour plots. Horizontally they are acceptable, then look at that trash vertical measurements where he expressly attributes the plot to the inherent failures of the MTM design when not listened to on axis. Saying that any comparable MTM design is better than a TW design when comparing off axis listening is an insane take.

why would call those woofers as ''active''? They are not powered with inside amps to be called ''active'' the woofers that are not ''active'' are just called passive radiators

Gary's breakdown of the Cabinet arrangement and speaker alignment was spot on but its not really anything new. I am currently building Desktop three-ways that will end up being 22 inches tall with very similar features to these tall boys. The largest difference being price. I guess these speakers will be worthy of someone's $$$$. Well done.
