While I didn't get to "test" them thankfully, and anything will eventually break if enough force is applied at the right angle, I've found the clips to be quite sturdy. I think I'd be more worried about the seams or the material tearing (all fixable with duct tape) before the I'd worry about the clips failing (which can be fixed with JB plastic weld in a pinch). Tony Aulisa That is a great question, I don’t know for sure. The straps allow them to be secured on two axes, with two horizontal straps, and one vertical strap. I would guess that they can be used on a lot of different crashguards, but not sure about the GSA1250 specifically. I hope this helps!

Patrick Cooper Thank you for your follow-up! That’s not quite correct. The two horizontal straps do slide onto the guards, that is correct, but the vertical strap actually wraps around the guard (and that is important), and, when you pull it tight, it hold on place very well. If you watch the whole clip I discuss how to secure it. I’ve had them at Texas highway speeds (Toll 130 has an 85mph speed limit, so you can guess at the common travel speed) as well as crossing river beds, they hang on tight in either scenario with no issue. Patrick Cooper You can of course wrap the heck out of them like @MotoAndy does it in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e5tmi6yn0a-dZZc.html But I didn’t find that necessary in practice (yes, I had my doubts too when I first tried my method). Plus, having to wrap and unwrap the bags each time you want to put something in them (they aren’t easy to work with when on the crashguards) would be a proper PITA. With my method it was a breeze to take them off & repack them, and, as experienced across thousands of miles, they held on perfectly well.

Patrick Cooper JJ actually uses another strap on the bottom for another attachment point. I don’t recall there being another strap in the package, maybe he just adapted a carrying strap or something, though it flies off the bike as if it was under tension, so not sure. Either way, I hope his perspective is also helpful!
