I think the reason Sasuke doesn't use Naraka path, Animal path, Asura and Human path is because he never saw it being used that's why he didn't have a chance to copy it. He saw Deva path, Preta and Outer from Madara. Thus was able to copy it. Nagato was guided by Obito before he started exhibiting any of the paths besides deva and outer (which I think are the default abilities) Madara actually made it part of Obito's training inside the finite tsukuyomi to guide Nagato to nurture the rinnegan abilities and practice yin-yang release(black rods). I think it is also implied(and another reason could be) that since Sasuke only have yin chakra the rinnegan's arsenal is not complete just like how naruto only had half yang chakra that he only got 9 truth seeking orbs that do not regenerate instead of 10. Not only did they get half the aspect of the hagoromo but also half the power of each of that aspect.

It's just an hypothesis but if hashirama implanted madara's flesh into his own body, he might have gained six path senjutsu as a contrast to the rinnegan.

I think there's another meaning to the depiction of the Rinengan (and also Sharingan) when juxtaposed with Sage mode (and physically enhancing training). It seems that oftentimes, dojutsu users, prominently the Uchiha clan, can be outmatched by those who focus on physical training. Rinengan bearers are often considered to be gods because they are granted ground-breaking abilities, and yet, they are often not "wise". They epitomize human arrogance in a certain aspect. Most of their powers originate from the capacity to "see answers" and their enhanced perception of the world would convince them that they can pass the most justifiable judgements. Sage mode users, on the other hand, increase their strength or find answers by being grounded, involved in the real word and embracing natural results. Empirical results rectify even the most brilliant hypotheses. This strangely aligns with how "visionary" people like Nagato and Madara get bested by Naruto and Hashirama, whom strength derive from their "body of work". Maybe I'm just thinking over my head but Naruto characters, deliberately or not, do embody fundamental principles in life in subliminal ways that we may fail to notice.

I think Pain is able to fly because his jutsu involves pushing and pulling using gravitational forces to push his enemies back so whos to not say that he can use the same jutsu to keep him in one t pose position reversing gravity and using the jutsu through his arms to keep him in place.

A little addition to the rinnegan beeing able to resist the infinite tsukuyomi. I believe Sasuke applied the same resistance on his susano to shield more people from beeing affected by the genjutsu. So I guess you don't need to have the rinnegan personally as long as u have a friend with bonkers eyes to bail u out :)

Rinnegan is simply an evolution of Sharingan. Kaguya Ate the Shinju Fruit which gave her all the chakra of the world and manifested a third eye which is Rinne-Sharingan. Kaguya's Sons Hagoromo and Hamura both possessed some of her powers leaving Hagoromo with a weaker version of Rinne-Sharingan and Hamura with weaker version of Byakugan and then their descendants get this power and Hagoromo Splits Juubi into 9 Tailed beasts and The Human who serve the Tailed Beast are known as Jinchuruki's. Otsutsuki are the descendants and then later reincarnation of Ashura and Indra becomes the descendants. Uchiha , Senju , Uzumaki , Hyuga. Hamura's and Otsutsuki's Descendants are Hyuga. Kaguya's Descendants are Kaguya Clan. Simply Sharingan is a weaker version of Rinne-Sharingan which evolves to the it's max which is a Rinnegan that is the stronger version of Sharingan. Rinnegan has the Six Paths Technique. Animal Path Allows the user to summon Giant Immortal Animals who becomes stronger due to each damage they take. These Animals can be controlled and used both offensive and defensive. Human Path Human Path allows the user to rip out souls and once they rip out souls then that certain living thing is dead and you gain it's memories and knowledge. Ashura Path Ashura Path allows you to release Missiles and Beams. Gives you 4 Arms and 2 Extra Head which increases the power by a bit. Literally gives you knives , driller and all kinds of this stuff. Pretha Path Pretha path allows you to absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra. Momoshiki's Rinnegan can absorb Ninjutsu and send them back which falls under Pretha Path Category. Deva Path Deva Path allows you to do repulsive force and attractive force. Access to Levitate in Air and Teleknesess. Shinra Tensei which is repulsive force pushes away anything near depending on how much chakra you spend on it and has 5 seconds limit. Banshou Tenin is attractive force that pulls the target to the user and has 5 seconds limit. Another Attractive force which is Planetery Devastation which releases a Black Sphere that takes anything into it and cover it with any objects near till it's planet size big. Castrophic Planetery Devastation can be used to seal according to how much ever size and width the user wants it to be. This can be used as an offensive attack and appears from above as an Medeor according to users wish on the size and width. Naraka Path Summons the king of hell that rips out the tongue of the target that doesn't say the truth and kill them. The king of hell also recovers your injuries and damage when it does a chewing action. 7th Path Outer Path You can summon Gedo Mazo that can do the Dragon Soul Technique and also capture the Tailed Beasts. This Gedo Mazo is a Tailed Beast Level. You can cast Rinne-rebirth that brings people you killed back to life. Madara has both Base Rinnegan and Senjutsu Rinnegan. Base Rinnegan maybe allowed him to access to Flying and Teleknesess which is his own Rinnegan ability but I might be wrong. Senjutsu Rinnegan allowed him to use Limbo which is his as well. Sasuke's Rinnegan can swap places , teleport and Amenotjikara plus he has field of vision 360 can see through chakra points and objects.

Can't remember if it was canon or not, but Madara actually did fly in his edo form in his second fight with Naruto at the gedo mazou battleground. They didn't show what technique he used, but it was a large radial explosion, similar to what shinra tensei can cause. I'd say that was the one and only time he used shinra tensei. And I think pein's techs against Hinata were still shinra tensei and bansho tenin, just at a far lower degree, as he showed several levels of it throughout the arc.

As an Indian and a Hindu, hearing the words " Asura" "Indra" "naraka" "chakra" "Deva" while watching the anime had me all excited.I had heard them a lot of times already in my house while talking about Hindu mythology and knew what they meant.

The rinnegan could also see invisible barriers. Like when sasuke use his rinnegan to see madara limbo or when pain use the rinnegan to see the invisible barrier around the leaf village
