About the Speaker:
wami Atmashraddhananda is the Editor of Vedanta Kesari*, a cultural and
spiritual monthly of the Ramakrishna Order for the past 100 years. He has
been editing the magazine for the last 9 years.
He has been the guide for the Vivekananda Study Circle at IIT Madras for
the past 9 years. Besides conducting a Sunday class for the Study Circle
every week, he also speaks at the Ramakrishna Math at Mylapore in Chennai
on Upanishads and other allied subjects. He has addressed various groups
consisting of students, teachers, and others in different places such as
Pune, Nagpur, Bangalore, Mysore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jammu, Chandigarh and
Delhi.

Swamiji would be (is!) so proud. I'm so happy the Ramakrishna Order has such souls as Swami Atmashraddhananda to share their wisdom with the youth of India so its spiritual legacy will not be lost.

I cannot think of a better lecture, in simple layman's language in the recent times. This further strengthens the belief of a believer of Sanatana Dharma. Awesome knowledge, in line with the core teachings of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita... Thanks Swami ji... and thanks to the person that has uploaded this series.

Humble pranams to Swamiji for sacrificing comforts for us and inspiring us to transcend mind. Students studying in Ramakrishna Mission and chinmaya mission run schools are really lucky and blessed . In India the problem is Good Things are happening only in some Sections and is not wide spread . I had always wished in my childhood to be growing under the guidance of Such great souls . But reality is different .

@ kshitij s Sir pls dont use swear words in public domain. We dont have to GUTS to ask the politicians or bureaucrats or film stars to be a responsible citizen and be beneficial to society . rather we find fault with Monks and yogis who leave their comfort zone to streamline our paths. They may have not built roads or buildings but they have not harmed nature and or ruined the environment by disturbing ecology . That itself is a great achievement

@kshitij s I'm happy that you felt free to express yourself though you are not respectful in your words. However, I'd suggest you to know something about a person or an organization before commenting on them. I'd like to encourage you to read something about Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna mission, know about their intentions, deeds,and contributions to the society and then comment on them.. Every scientist cannot or need not be Einstein.. Meanwhile every self proclaimed saadhu or a god man need not be compared with the monks of Ramakrishna Mission.. I hope,someday you will open up your mind and think rationally.. All the best..

Kshitij s I'm sorry to say that you know nothing about this group. They DO a lot of social work in India, including hospitals, schools, help to the poor, and many other actions. You should learn more about them before you make such mistaken comments. And the spiritual message that they spread is a very important activity for mankind, for society, more than ever, because the materialistic propaganda is terrible, and destroy peoples minds and societies. You should ask forgiveness for saying such unfair words to these people who are so loving, giving, and generous !

kshitij s Fool; they are not like your aasaram....... s..t or other villager robed as preachers in name of religion or s..... They are well education, to be able to cross the ladder of wisdom which u have burned in your hatred towards ah's son. They make living by educating, socially contributing and helping true indian culture to propagate not begging like your ah and his son in name of religion. They never ask for donation or s...i like your aasa.bla bla. Their languase comes out of vedanta, humans highest intectual work even before your ancestors started to talk. MIND your language and dont speak out of ignorance.

kshitij s There are fakes world over just like fake doctors, engineers or anyone, But there are genuine people also out there whom you need to find. Just because you didn't get there or their knowledge throwing money, doesn't mean they don't exist. THEY too have a criteria of choosing people & that doesn't mean that it has to be your money. If they didn't choose you then it means there is something wrong in you. So find those wrongs and correct yourself. Secondly, If you don't like listening to them simply find something else that you like and listen to that. No one has sent an invitation to you to come here and share your empty head. Find some place where people needs it; atleast that would save some time for yours and of others.

It looks like using the word 'low caste' hurt kshitij, but looks like the speaker wants to say have respect for everyone and don't discriminate in positive sense, may be in correct word to use. but seems to me just it happened because the word came only once in the whole speech.

Everything you said is right swami vivekanandji. But,could you please explain us as to why didn't you make even a single effort or even a single statement in your whole life for removing casteism from hindutva? why didn't you approached dalit people who were kept under compulsory slavery of savarna for more than 2500 years in which they had to fight with stray dogs for their daily bread? why you indirectly supported caste system by keeping your mouth shut on this issue since hinduism said caste system or chaturvarna vyavastha was created by lord krishna? Rajeev Kamra ji vivekananda ji did make efforts in describing god in all he ate kheer with a low caste man beneath a tree which angered the king of that region . vivekananda asked that king to spit on his ancestor's portrait ,king refused . Therefore vivekananda described that he can't mistreat any living being as he or she or it has divinity
