Swami Sarvapriyananda has been appointed as Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.
Prior to this, he served as assistant minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California for 13 months, beginning on December 3, 2015.
Swami joined the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in 1994 and received Sannyas in 2004. Before being posted to the VSSC’s Hollywood Temple, Swami served as an acharya (teacher) of the monastic probationers’ training center at Belur Math. He has served the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in various capacities including being the Vice Principal of the Deoghar Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Principal of the Shikshana Mandira Teacher Education College at Belur Math, and the first Registrar of the Vivekananda University at Belur Math.
Here is the actual link of the full talk: • No Mind Q&A | Swami Sa...
In this video Swamiji explains- How can one focus his/her mind to his/her task amidst the difficult circumstances all around. He takes on Yogic methods to stay focused even in the most noisy and unfavourable situations, which is needed in every aspect of life be it Spiritual or any other task of importance.

The learnings are as follows: • The difference between the ordinary person and a great person lies in the degree of concentration. -- Swami Vivekanand • The Quality of your Life depends on how much you can concentrate and what you concentrate on. • To keep the focus, challenge should meet your skill set not too hard not too easy. If the challenge is too hard, break it in small chucks and deal one at a time. • Selfishness leads to a scattered mind and anxiety and being un-selfish leads to a relaxed peaceful mind and allows for more focus. • Def. of Spirituality by Swami Ranganathan: When I close my eyes, I find peace within, when I open my eyes, my attitude is what can I do for you. • Love leads to focus. Devotion to God leads to focus automatically and effortlessly. • No mind. You are the one existence consciousness place and all of this world is your appearance. • Before coming to Advaita, our reaction to the world is ‘What’, after we get the Advaita, it is ‘So What’.

If we are here now without our choice, we are always here. Because there is no need of freewill for living on this earth. Because animals too live. Every humans has three state of experience, 1.physical experience-----cold, touch, pain, heat, pleasure.... Etc 2. Emotional experience---love, hatred, sex, fear... Etc 3.mental experience ---ghost, god, beliefs, supernatural powers.... Etc Majority of the humans comes under the experiences of two and third category. So its very tough for them to experience their true nature. If one witness these experiences using their consciousness, logic and freewill which animals lack, they will be liberated from the cycle of everlasting birth and death. Because our life is not our choice. We were forced to born. Consciousness is not intelligent. Because there is lot of pain, sufferings and agony in this world. Because every living being on this earth suffers a disease from the time of conceiving, hunger. Hunger is a disease and food is the medicine. Never focus. Just dissipate. Focus means concentrating consciousness as 'i'. Disspate and kill the 'i', the mind. The only experience in this body that we never fedup with is sleep. We can sleep continuosly for 24months without exhaustion. But we cant be awake continuosly for 24hours without exhaustion. the school of consciousness Wts app 8921653758

Sometimes you have to strive to get into the flow. So, for example, I am studying theoretical Physics. Do I enjoy doing this? Sometimes. So why do I do it if I don’t love to do it all of the time? Well, I think that I can make a contribution. I praise God that I am able to do this high level studying. If I can make a little contribution then it will be for everyone. But I won’t be able to function at a suitable level until I get in the flow. And that takes many years of graft, anxiousness and prayer. Thank you Swami Sarvapiyananda for helping to give my adelling, mortal mind the focus that I need.

Sadhguru is the textbook definition of 'cult leader' . A solo practitioner who uses his skill of conversation and a mish mash of knowledge from Vedas and Indic philosophies to charm people into believing in his 'divine quality' . He's NOT an expert of Vedanta philosophies . Swami Sarvapriyananda maharaj, on the other hand is a Shakto monk of the Vedic religious order called Ramkrishna Misson that was founded by Swami Vivekananda himself. He , like many eminent monks of his order , is a brilliant scholar who has dedicated their lives to the service of Vedanta.

At first person tries to recall his inner world and trying different types of practices and doings , but he easily forgets inner world when busy in world affairs. Then there comes a time when he will become tired of every practices and doings, .. and his sensitivity start to increase. Then there comes a time when his sensitivity becomes so deep that he does not need to remember his inner world but he will get reminder and messages from everything around him and whatever happening inside of it. Everything drags him inside, and he becomes so deep that he starts to understand the inner language which is soundless and formless . Then there comes a time when he will become stunned, surprised by vast beauty , by unlimited joy vaster than any ocean , stillness deeper than any valley. Then he will see his face in the mirror and will be surprised that he never saw this person before and everything looks utterly new.

I was focused and in flow state and in partial dream state when I was preparing for my Entrance exam, I was ignorant , teen , cut off from internet and news. But one big thing was Love. My implied motivation was shifted from self improvement to improvement for 'her'. I met this girl who was quiet, calm, serene and hardworking. Her vibes gave me chills in positive way. I would always think about how if I clear this exam, I would be able to befriend her (because I would be at her level) and I actually cleared my exam which nobody could believe. That's another story, our way parted (because of natural reasons) and I had to find a new source of sustainable motivation.

Never heard of teaching on concentration this way; by turning from selfishness to unselfishness. This is amazing and struck me like a lightning ⚡️ My homage and utmost respect to Swamiji and thanks to this channel.

You've explained everything so well. Loved listening to you. The best was before coming to advaita, reaction is" What? " and after advaita it is "so what? ".That sums up everything.
