In marathi film industry only three things matter 1) talent 2)story content 3)hardwork. Here there is no place for nepotism, stardom, and glamor. They are still down to earth. And very important thing is that they are still flourishing Marathi Drama, they still connected with drama industry. And their films are content centric not money centric. That's why Marathi Movie is great.

Marathi theater's are very strong, and Marathi people can digest difficult and controversial topic like Ghashiran kotwal, sakharam bindar etc Hindi people don't understand serious topic they see movie as entertainment, they like Kapil Sharma show, maharashtrian people can't tolerate such type of comedy. Terrific interaction! Swanand bhai is an amazing talent! With very due respect to him and other lyricists of today's times, I defer with him on the point that the kind of lyricists are there today, there were never better than these ever! Is he really serious while saying this??!! Who has the tremendous variety today, Sahir the great had throughout his life!!??? Can anybody touch Pyasa's creativity, Hum Dono's variety? How many can match or come even closer to "woh subaha kabhi to ayegi...!" Yes, the references were different, problems were different, times were different but those creations are still timeless and eternal that those creations can move any sensitive listener to the core! I am saying this with a lot of responsibility while fully appreciating the vast repartee of current crops of lyricists! The effectiveness of good poetry today, might also be marred by weakness of another part of song's structure "the music" which is suffering very badly today due to sheer lack of depth and rigor in the musical stream! Amen!

In marathi films, an actor can work in television, play as well as in a film. And we don't care if actor is single , married, alcoholic, the only thing which matters to the audience is story, direction and acting.. Even if actress is 30+ but good at playing a college girl character that's enough for us..

Sorry but Hindi pulic I.e. north Indians don't deserve intellectual cinema . Few peoples are exception but all other just want to see half naked heroines around same star faces with stupid,simple storyline.
