Its amazing to see all the right PPE you're wearing. Fire suit, 5 point harness, Hans device, neck brace, roll cage, fire extinguisher, and a helmet with visor down. I love it when people value their lives with all this PPE you got on.

Yeah, tell me about it. 20 years after running big cars it feels like I was in thousand car crash’s when I lay down for bed. I wish I would not have ran even one demo derby.

Low speed and in a captive environment with local fire rescue on location there's no need for all the PPE your talking about actually the best piece of safety equipment is the filling of the steering wheel he's smart and has knowledge that it can break your wrist if you get your hands inside of the wheel during a hard hit well played dawg overall a good prepared car as in safety aspects

My dad did demolition derby as well. He wants me to get into it now because I can participate in it at 16 years old and I’m 12. My dad won his first heat (or what ever it’s called) his first time driving in this. It is really enjoyable to watch!

Good job you did about all you can do out there. No matter how well it's built you only get so many hits. If I had one suggestion it would be this, when it comes down to having to drive around to look for somebody to hit stay out of the crowd because the other guys are looking for someone to hit two. Nice job at the end great sell hope it got you to the podium.

Since he is doing all the hitting from the front, the frame and front must be reinforced. Normally you protect the front and use the rear end. Most places won't allow driver door hits. Was the steering wheel even connected to anything at the end?

It didn't appear he had steering or a driveshaft that was hooked up to anything anymore. That's y he kept going from forward to reverse and flooding it and going nowhere so he just broke the stick. Good run either way tho.

Robert Heinkel the steering column pulled apart in two pieces. Right at the floor pan the steering column is separable. Something broke within the transmission and no longer allowed it to shift into a moveable gear. There was metal chunks and transmission fluid on the track under the car!
