In today's video, I am swapping books with my husband for a week! My husband loves grim dark, epic fantasy while I love epic fantasy as well but I also love romance! This was such an interesting reading challenge having to swap our favorite books... let's see how we did 👀

I feel like your husband would LOVE priory of the orange tree!! It’s 800 pages but honestly doesn’t feel that long cause you get so immersed in the world and the stories of the 4 pov’s.

Swapping 26 minutes of my time with one Ashlynn video. Review: This is my first video I've ever seen of yours, thank you KZfaq algorithm, and I have a lot to say. You? Immaculate, sweet, passionate. Your voice is so great, I could genuinely see you being a voice actress. It's very airy, gives off a lot of emotion, makes me excited alongside you. Your Husband? Immaculate, sweet, passionate. An INCREDIBLE beard, I couldn't go on without mentioning that. I was shocked in finding out most of your videos feature only you. He has such a natural way about being on camera. I think a lot of this is helped by your chemistry. You two are adorable, and I now have a new goal in life to find a partner/dear friend who would trade books with me like this. I loved your willingness to try out things you had never planned on reading, or had put off for so long. You balance each other shockingly well, both have insightful things to say about what you've read, and the video would not be the same if it was only one of you. Not because of the video concept itself, but because of how much presence you both have. I'll say it again, IMMACULATE. Also, as an added bonus, I now have a handful of books I'm interested in picking up! I really hope you do this again, I'd watch another video like this in a heartbeat.

I LOVE alias grace. I read it in high school and it taught me why i love unreliable narrators as a theme. The whole book keeps you guessing until the end.

One romance I’d recommend if you guys read manga is “horimiya” which I love so much, the first 3 volumes explain the main premise of the series 😊

I just finished my umpteenth reread of The Hobbit and I'm so glad to see you loved it even though you were hesitant going in! It's such a great, cozy book. If you haven't read it yet, The Wind in the Willows has similar vibes, except WitW is full on cottage core 🤭

I am glad this popped up on my KZfaq homepage. A great video! You guys should do more together. I'll have to check out some more videos of yours! Also I am very glad that you read The Hobbit! I can see how it is intimidating to actually start. I was in high school when the original Lord of the Rings movies were out, so we actually read The Hobbit as an english class in grade 11. We also read The Fellowship of the Ring in grade 12 english, then my teacher actually took our class to see the last movie in theatres around Christmas 2003. BUT it took me until I was 29 to read the rest of the trilogy because of the intimidation factor (how silly though lol). Please read the rest of the books one day. It is worth it. I have reread The Hobbit a few times. I like it much more than the movies as I think they are padded (especially when you consider that the original Lord of the Rings movie are perfection).
